OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
A CD (gasp!), "The Original All-American Sousa!", Keith Brion and his New Sousa Band.
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
Can't say that I have ever heard of the Despondent Astronauts.
Thanks for posting the links, PFJN2.
Interesting music. Reminded me of early Talking Heads or maybe DEVO.

Home Improvement?
What, are you Nuts Humper!? I don't know whats the matter with kids these days!
I know this is silly but a few weeks ago started with the Tim Allen show "Home Improvement". Just something goofy in the background to distract me if I get frustrated LOL
Revisiting a great old Warren Zevon album, "Sentimental Hygiene."

Eaglecash867 Real G The roar of the A/C in my office. We listened to "Punk Rock Girl" by the Dead Milkmen the other day. We frequently talk about songs from the past and when someone says " How did that one go?" we ask Google to play it. LOVE the Dead Milkmen! You should ask Google to play their song, "Blues Song" some time. Its hilarious!

Yeah, I found out about the Dead Milkmen while watching Beavis and Butthead. I found the video to be a hoot! Plus I liked Butthead's comment about how the girl would eat the guy for lunch.
A good friend of mine went through a rough patch during his adolescence and listened to a lot of punk rock. That's where I got my exposure to the genre. Suicidal Tendency's video to "Institutionalized" was also pretty funny. My friend asked if my mom spray cleaned the leaves on the tree in my front yard. But I drink Coke, not Pepsi.
"All I wanted was a Coke, but she kept offering me a Pepsi..."
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
Uh Oh! wpwar 11:
I guess I should stop then. I play Metallica in the shop because of the acoustics. Besides with Hearing Aids the volume has to be lower but all the Musical nuances are there!

I am presently going through all my Enigma Albums on C.D.
Victor Davis Hanson podcasts.

"You can have my illegal fireworks when you pry them from my cold, dead fingers...which are...over there somewhere."
I wanted to share this: Wings for Ukraine from Thomas Bergersen.

Love PDQ! He used to have a weekly show on our local classical station.
My classical tastes tend towards modern stuff. To avoid what seems like an oxymoron (modern classical) I call it 20th and 21 classical music, but it starts with the late 19th century Russian group. Love John Williams.
The late great Norm McDonald once said "I was on a deserted island with the ability to play my five favorite records and it didn't make a bit of difference". I love Norm
The 5 records I play most often
U2 Achtung baby-In my opinion they still make great music but this is a masterpiece.
Rush 2112-Probably the reason I'm a little hard of hearing today. As a kid I would blast side 1 with headphones on.
Led Zepplin 1-Great blues tracks done by rock gods
The Who Who's Next-One of the all time greats at the top of their game. it's called Baba O'Riley not Teenage wasteland.
Metallica Master of Puppets-Don't listen to this while modeling. You'll destroy the entire stash.
There's always P.D.Q. Bach. I had heard about him way back when I was in grade school, just before H.S. and I got to go to a concert of him years ago Some years ago near Kississmee. The character was developed by a music professor and broiught classical a bit of a comic look and sound.
Rainer Hersch is having fun with classical too.
The hooked on classical series or records was brought out to combat disco.
I just got done playing the soundtrack to Tomorrowland.
A piece by Bach. I'm not a big fan of Bach but that is what was playing on my classical music station.
Right Now?
I have the soundtrack disc on of "1492" Don't remember the Orchestra!
Mark Knopfler, Stepjan Hauser, Laura McKennit. (Not sure of the spelling on #2&3, but pretty close.)
My coworkers didn't like "Let Us Slay" by Gwar. That's their only song I like, and I absolutely love the video!
Taj Mahal. We are going to hear him on Sunday.
Bill
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I was actually not listening to anything, so I went to youtube and started playing ELO out of the blue!
Listen to a lot of scores from movies and video games. Such as the original Star Wars Trilogy, The Edge, Pacific Rim, Shadow of the Colossus, Deus Ex and Halo. 80's hair bands get their turn in the mix as well. Though I find I like music without words the most. Seem to get in the modeling groove easier when it's purely instrumental.
On the Bench:
Bandai 1/72 Defender Destroid
Deep dive into Frank Zappa and the Mothers 1973 Live at the Roxie shows.
I've listened to these songs for years but had never seen the films.
Ruth Underwood is a fantastic percussionist.
Tonight we went to a little fundraiser party for a singers group here in Carmel called I Cantori.
I'm the show head usher and our good friend Daniel Hendrick is the Music Director.
Certain cast members from Star Trek put out a series of audio stories based on old S.F. authors like Verne and Wells under the title of Alien Voices.
Silent Running is a song that is rarely heard these days but considereing things, might not be a bad choice to hear again.
I have a large collection of CDs to listen to with music recorded from records, to cassettes, to 8 track tapes. I even have some WWII libety records my Father saved from destruction back in their day. These pre-recorded shows were played only twice during a 24 hour period and then woiuld be destroyed for whatever reason. Somehow he managed to save about 5 and eventually I found someone with a turntable large enough to play them and make a couple copies.
Some of my favorite music would be the Moody Blues, ABBA, Carpenters, Sinatra, Dean Martin, soundtracks, and 60s/70s music.
I just found a CD that I copied from a cassette that a pilot from the 44th TFS gave after he returned form a exercise in the P.I. called Cope Thunder. It was all the transmissions from one of his engagements during the exercise. It makes for some interesting non classified listening although there can be some extended periods between words and grunting. It can give you some idea of what kind of physical stress they go through.
