 HisNHer Tanks:

Tamiya M-16 that has been hanging on at the 80% done mark since well too long ago (forgot when I bought it).

Tamiya M-16?!

Yep, very nice kit for it's age. Soft plastic front tires (some hate that some don't). Over all a nice build.

Putting the tracks together today though and it is apparent the kit designer was in a foul mood when he thought up the means to assemble the tracks. You take two tabs each with two projec tions on either side of the tab and thread them into the receiving holes of the opposing end of the length of track. Sounds ok till you see how small those tabs are and how small the receiving holes are and that they are paired together meaning you have to attach them simultaneously.

I'm actually shocked I was successful. Luckily the tension on the track was little and then installed without pulling the darned things apart (which would have made me a bit hot under the collar).

The kit will need some rehab on the paint job seeing as I have not had the original paint shade for a decade now. No worries, OD is a brain dead easy colour to get. Kit is turning into a nice example of 'why didn't I get this done a long time ago?'.

Well, when i'm actually waiting for it to dry I normally pick up another of the kits I am working on and do something wtih that, or start painting another part of the kit.  If that is impossible Ill probably be playing a computer game or watching TV.

Why do ya think I have 25 WIPs?  Plus, my computer's right next to the bench, as is the TV, and I got a swivel-chair..

Ditto That and catch up on reading the large stack of model magazines. I'm sooo way behind on them.

Move onto another subassembly, or model for that matter, then think about how I can get the opporunity to hold Ms. Beckinsale's hand, catch up on FSM mag reading, think how to implement the opporunity to hold Ms. Beckinsale's hand using only $229, check the fourms, realize my opporunity to hold Ms. Beckinsale's hand won't come true, double check to make sure I can't do anymore subassembly work, give up on trying to hold Ms. Beckinsale's hand, and move on to try to hold Ann Hatheway's, return to original work

(repeat) Stick out tongue

Seriously, I move onto other subassemblies or another model all together (I limit myself to 3 concurrent builds at a time), or prepare parts to be airbrushed in the next session.  If all that is stalled, well I always have the computer next to my bench, and a TV behind it.
