 I got that kit a few years back (different boxing) off a vendor for $2!!!

To answer the ?......yes.

The same vendor that I got that kit from, had another, kinda oddball looking plane kit, marked at $15. Not familiar with the craft at all, limited funds and too many kits to choose from, I didn't give it a second thought. The following year, I saw the kit again, with a new sticker for $12, again, I passed. But, the thing kinda grew on me, and I regreted not buying it. This past year, he still had it, marked down to $9...it was the first kit I bought at the show, haggled down to $7. It was a 1/72 Toko (never heard of em) an-72.  It's gonna take some work, but eventually I'll get to it!

Yep, the Hobbycraft Seversky P-35, never thought I'd dig an obsolete, Swedish marked fighter.

Yes- Revellogram's1/32 Hawker Hunter. I bought it on a whim because I wanted to build a big jet and had read good reviews about the kit, but never really had any interest in it beyond that. I fell in love with the kit, the build, and the aircraft. Best large scale kit I have ever built. A true gem!

I can't see any model kit that did that to me

I did have a decal sheet that sent me off on a tangent, causing a bunch of kits to jump into my shopping bag

We were standing near the IsraDecal stand at the Nats in Virginia, I glanced at the table as we were talking,,,,,,and got completely engrossed in the F-21 Kfir markings,,,,,I bought the sheet, and went off on a tangent of Aggressor models for a while,,,,,,so, now my Navy collection has a bunch of Kfir, F-16, F-5 and A-4 kits that are just plain fun to build, including a "need" for another T-2 to do in the Aggressor scheme

My deal is all about deployable aircraft, so all those cool looking multicolored aircraft stand out pretty far from the norm

but, gotta tell ya,,,,,,multi colored camo is fun to mask and spray,,,,,,especially the "no two alike" patterns

..wheres my  "Ms. Shinmeiwa".........?????????????

Yes, I have bought a rash of cold war Soviet armor starting with the Trumpeter BTR-60P which I bought on a whim... It looked cool. In the end It changed my current focus from German WWII to Cold War and modern subjects.
