I find that my bench time is a great escape from thinking about anything. Nothing better than sitting and working away while listening to the Cards game in the background.

SWMBO just don't get that my sanity depends on that bench...even if I am just sitting there contemplating my next move or looking at research.

Yes! On a really busy/stress-filled day at the office here, I tend to start at a computer screen all day long. What would I like to do when I get home? Hit the bench. However, after staring at a screen all day, my eyes tire quickly... Bang Head

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

No bench time = crabby Doogs...

It started when I got home last night. Rubbed my eyes once and boom...crazy allergy itchy eyes that quickly blossomed into a full-blown headache. I felt like Arnold in Total Recall with the eyes popping out of the head. So I skipped the bench, went to bed early, and had a terrible night's sleep. No I'm super crabby. Awesome.

This happen to anybody else? I've found my nightly bench time to be such a great decompression tool, a way to unwind after a long day, that skipping it turns me into a total grouch.
