I'm an 80's metalhead!  Usually Iron Maiden or AC/DC.  If I'm in a more "mello" mood...Pink Floyd.

Sometimes, during football season, I'll stream a Gators or a Dolphins game that isn't televised.

I like listening to Cardinals baseball when it's on; I've been binge playing a cd called "For Freedom Alone", which is a collection of Scottish songs promoting the independence movement a little while ago. Otherwise, it's a motley collection of music from the mp3 or 89.9 WEVL out of Memphis (a great little radio station!).

Generally, nothing. My TV is in the other room and would have to be turned up pretty loud to hear it. I have reached the point where I rarely ever listen to my stereos in the house or in the car. I tinker with these model to get my mind away from other things in the world, the very last thing I would do is listen to the drivel of a radio talk show.

I listen either to my iPod or to my music playlist on YouTube. It kind of depends upon my mood and modeling subject. I plug either device into an old stereo that belonged to my kids when they were younger. Or I can pop one of my CDs in there too. Some of my music mixes better with certain types of modeling than others... But definitely music. I hate listening to people talking...

I keep it quiet,either sports talk radio or a ballgame on the radio,or just peace and quiet.

I listen to mostly classical on FM 89.3 on the old Boom Box.  Toss in some CDs with a little "Il Volo" , Opera, and Military Marches.  Panzerlied is my favorite.

Trancid does it for me at the modeling bench, keeps me in the zone via IHeart Radio.  And yes I don't fit the typical age profile .When that need has passed,   I will also mix it up with a more mature  selection of  music and talk radio.

Talk radio.  AM 640, to be exact.

Got to be 60s rock and roll.  I have a small portable stereo that can accept CDs, MP3, and FM for the local oldies station.

That's the one thing that I wish that Apple would've included on the iPods - an FM tuner. But, I guess that would've defeated the purpose of the iPod in the first place.

I have a little bit of everything on my iPod - Flatt & Scruggs, Nora Jones, Mozart, Cowboy Troy, TobyMac, Francesca Battistelli, Casting Crowns, Hank Senior (you ain't country if you don't know who that is), Quarterflash, Rush, Del McCoury, Marty Stuart, AC/DC, Avril Levigne, etc. Love waiting to see what comes up next on random play......

Yeah, I seem to recall a similar thread, which is buried in the back somewhere...

Still, I generally listen to music (on my headphones), and I try to listen to music that represents the subject.

For instance:  While building a Stuka, I listened to German military marches and songs from WWII.  While building a C-47, I listened to Big Band.

It kinda helps set the mood you could say. 

You know, that's a great idea. I never thought about "theme" music. I might hafta try that! Cool!!
