I get a bulk of my modeling done late May-October (no baseball or basketball to officiate and football only happens a few days a week.) Being the stay at home dad, I get about 1-1 1/2 hours in the day during nap time, although I don't always do it. Daddys need naps sometimes too you know. Once everyone goes to bed around 11, I get some bench time till I get tired, usually 1-3AM. Sundays I get to the bench off and on all day until dinner time, and Mondays (the Mrs. is off Sun and Mon) I usually have the morning to myself. The afternoon is for shopping/chores.

November-early May is a crap shoot as I'll sometimes work 6-7 days a week aside from around Christmas time.

I will work on my build around 8 PM or so, and go to 10 on the weeknights. Weekends I will work on a build all day Sunday if I'm allowed to. Saturday is for shopping and yard work.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I used to be an evenings/weekends modeller.

I used to have a career...Hmm

Now,i find myself modelling mid-day,nothing on tv,too hot to hang outside, and now that im back "in the sticks",excepting family,no one to bother me Yes

most of my modelling occurs in small spurts,a few days a week on average

oh,and having all that natural daylight helps with seeing the details/color Geeked

The thread on what do you listen to brought up this thought. I also don't recall this question ever being asked.

For me my most serious, concentrated modeling usually occurs in the late evening, as in 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Earlier in the day I'm either working, shopping, home owner duties, honeydo's, watching TV/movies, etc.

The late evenings just offer less distractions. No phone calls, nothing on TV, stores are closed (well, not Walmart), to dark to work outside, everyone is in bed, etc.

I may apply a coat of paint or glue up some major parts before I start the above activities as it gives the project time to dry/cure for working later in the evening.
