Yeah !
It's kind of relaxing listening to the game on the radio . Brings back good memories . I always go early during the Spanish mass . Reminds me of the early days when everything was in Latin .
9.30 Mass so afterwards for a while. Don't much like to watch football, but a good Sunday afternoon baseball game on the radio is always a treat while at the bench.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Whenever I get free time until life allows me. Still looking for that free time since my return from family vacation.
Whenever I feel like it and I'm not at work.
Retired and living the dream!
If I didn't have to sleep and eat and do Rest room duty I would model 24/7
My time varies. Usually it is on the weekdays in the evening. My schedule changes every 3 months, so for 3 months I am off by 4PM, the next three, I dont get off until 8PM. I tend to do some on weekends as well after the honey-do's are completed; especially if the wife is watching some chick-flick on TV, I'll head up to the hobby room and tune everything out. Summers are typically not the ideal time for me as we do a lot of camping and are gone from Thursday to Sunday.
I prefer weekday evenings to do my modeling since I get better natural light coming into my hobby room (West facing window).
On the Bench: Lots of unfinished projects!
Usually when I can....Im an IT Manager for a major international company,we are usually running projects, teleconferences, training or travel. Also a dad, husband, son, brother...so Im full with tasks...but usuallyI work on weekdays from 6pm to 8pm. This is the reason I can only make 3 models at the most per year.
But definitely this hobby keeps my sanity.
My days off rotate every three months, so days of the week vary. Throw in work, overtime, family & social life, a physical fitness regimen, etc. and a good chunk of my week is gone. So I partake in this hobby in the morning before work on workdays, and in my days off when time allows, and the modeling moejoe is flowing. Some weeks are manic, others are quite inactive.
I haven't modeled in several months. When I do though it's usually in the evening to the wee hours of the morning. Its quiet and its my "Zen" time to just chill and do my thing. I need to get back into it, once work settles down I'll start my next project!
I'm almost there Prof. Tilley. If it just weren't for the "honeydo" list.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
Semi-retirement and summer vacation make it possible for me to answer the question the way I've always wanted to answer it. I model anytime I danged well feel like it.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
Hmm.

As I am retired, it's when I don't have anything to do on the honeydo list and I'm awake. Could be any time of the day or night. I prefer between 1 and 6 AM, but I'll take anytime I can get.
I usually work on my models late at night(11pm -2am).If the wife is away it is permissible to work on themduring the day assuming I am off from work.
Usually in the evenings after dinner with maybe a cocktail or two
Weekday evenings (when possible, from around 8 or 9 pm til about 1130 or 12 if need be.. Then weekend afternoons while the wife works (in retail).... Usually one day of the weekend though. I am 34, work full time, and am married with one 10 year old daughter. If they put some garbage on TV, I escape to the hobby room......

Weekday evenings when not busy with other stuff. It's my way of unwinding from the day. Sometimes done with a few cold ones as well.
Well lets see...
Monday thru Thursday I get an hour in between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Occasionally on those days I can get up to another hour depending on what time my dog gets me up. It's a bittersweet thing when he does because I'll throw the coffee pot on..and let 'er rip. Although I pay for it later.....
Friday thru Sunday I'm off so it's usually from 3:30 a.m. till about 7:30 am on those days. Every once in a while I just don't want to get up........... . But that doesn't happen very often.
5:30 or 6am til about 8am. I get up early specifically so I can have some time before the kids wake up. They're 9 and 6, so once they're up, I'm on dad duty. LOL
Oh yeah, this is on most days. I don't really have an off-season like summer. I'm pretty fortunate in that I work at home, so most days I get a little time on the bench, at least.
"Some say the alien didn't die in the crash. It survived and drank whiskey and played poker with the locals 'til the Texas Rangers caught wind of it and shot it dead."
I work the swing shift,so it's whenever I could steal some time.
Whenever the opportunity presents itself!
Work season ends around Thanksgiving, and doesn't start back up until April...so, all day and into the wee hours, with the majority being done from 10pm - 2 am.
This time of year, I typically work 40-60hrs a week, so I try to take care of all the homeowner duties during the week, after work, so that the weekends are freed up a bit. If we have a rain day, I build all day...get off early, I can squeeze in some time. This a.m. in particular, it's pouring rain...so we are delaying the start time...about to to hit some 109's with a wash.
