UPDATE: I hit the back button on my browser and retried Wolfmans method. The link/image appeared only once. So, not sure what happened before, but the problem seems solved.

Wolfman--thanks for your process. I did the BBCode/size/insert. I was able to make it work by following your process, but for some reason when I am doing it, it is creating two images. What is happening is that the link that I am pasting has the information twice. I don't know why that is happening. Its fixable, just delete the one, but extra work. So I am not sure yet what I am missing. A few things to note.

1. I was confused at first with the above method because when I pasted the link into the insert image box, then clicked on insert, the image didn't appear like I was used to. It showed up as a little box. I assumed it wasn't working at first. For the heck of it I finished it out by hitting the finish button and what do you know, the image appeared in the final post.

2. I found that you can also past the link via insert into the insert link/URL box. That works too. Here too though, it will appear as a link in your post until you finish it out. Then in the final post the image appears.

I will have to play with this more. It seems there is more than one way to make this work. The method I stumbled on seems to work for my work flow very well. Yours works well too if I can figure out why the link is pasting itself twice.

Lastly--I have not been able to post images using my Ipad. The functionality is different. Maybe, if I delete the app that I loaded and try doing this through the website.  I have to try that yet.

Thanks for the help.

I use both, just to post pics,no commentary or graphics. On both sites I have FSM reply open and the site I'm posting from. On PB the photo I use is on your Photostream, right click, hit copy and switch to FSM,hit Paste and s/b done. On FLKR same process, but your picture has to be in the Camera Roll, double click the one you want, then right click to copy and back to FSM to paste.

I have Flickr set to public. However I noticed you clicked on the download Icon.

I use the share Icon (right curving arrow) and select BBCode. Then I select the size of the picture. I copy the link. At this point there are two ways to post it. Either paste link and remove everything before and after the IMG and /IMG tags or click "insert image" and paste the entire link in the box. I prefer the first method as this allows me to type in comments between the pictures  because the links are in the message field where as the latter just ads them to the bottom of the post.

Wolfman--I noticed that when I clicked on the images that I posted, my PC downloads them. When I click on your images, it does not try to download them, it just displays them. Is that a setting that I am missing?  Do you have your images as public? Private?

Update: The issue is probably a setting with my browser.

Ok, I think that I stumbled on the process.  As follows:

All I did was copy and pasted the bottom IMG address and it worked.  The URL was bracketed and was about 2 and half lines long.

Like others, I have had it with Photobucket. I created an account with Flickr, but I am having the same problem that Don had.  When I paste the link in the FSM image uploader, all I get is a small square box.  I also tried the method that Rooster suggested, and its the same deal. Nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I guess it still works, using Photo Bucket.  This is a 1/72 Hasegawa B-17G probably 20-25 yrs. old I had started for a cousin who's Dad flew B-17's in WW II.  I never finished it both have passed on.   The gray square plastic tubing was for a rod to support the model from a wall mount.

What I do is select BBCode Copy Link, Paste it, then I delete every thing before the "IMG" tag and everything after the "/IMG" tag.

Don Stauffer

I started a flickr account, got a photo loaded, copied the URL from the address bar, but that did not seem to work when I tried to post a picture in this forum. After I pasted the URL into the little popup window, nothing happened.

Don, all you should have to do is click on a picture to select it and then you right click on the photo and click copy. Then paste using the image uploader in the forum as you normally would. Hope this helps.
