I was catching up and looked through recent posts, then clicked on 'Your discussions' and accidentily clicked on last and it showed what I suppose was my first post on this forum back in 2003 - makes you feel old ;)

I think the fact i was posting at 1.45am my time might explain the seperstion from the then wife 4 months later

Mine was on September 11, 2004. I posted a question about how to keep small parts from flying across the room. I still haven't solved that problem.

July 12 2006 A question about whitewashing armor I noticed that I have been a member since March 2003,I guess I was a lurker for a few years
Hmm;
I think I started posting when I first got this Laptop , No wait . When I was sharing my landlady's desk unit . That would've been somewhere in 2013
First post (apparently) was 22 Feb 2003...asking about the size of the stash and average yearly production.
2003...five in the closet and building about three or four a year
2017...between 65-70 in the closet and building about three or four a year

Okay, as long as I have been on this forum, I must admit I do not know how to find my oldest post. How do I do that? Is that the date that appears by my name, or is that date the date I first logged into the forum.

It would appear March of 2007, a reply to a weathering question. Man I've been her that long? whew.
we're modelers it's what we do
December 18, 2003. The internet sure does make it seemt like it was just the other day.

Too easy to tell... just look at the year they joined up. They may not have posted on the same exact day but the dates joined tells the story of how long everyone been a member here.

Yes, but that only tells you when it was, not what it was
My first post is the first post in the armor forum made over 15 years ago.

Nope. A lot of us had our dates rolled in one of the previous “upgrades”.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

upgrades or “cleansings”?
I signed up in July 04 and the oldest thread that I started was a year later in July 05. My first post was in June ‘05.

I don't understand this. I joined in December 2002 and made a post. It's still there and the date remains the same.
Looks like June 16, 2004 although it seems an odd first post. I remember signing up specifically to ask a question, but that first post is responding to a question.
Makes me wonder if there are older posts which are lost.
The join date under my avitar is different because I had to get my profile reset after one of the upgrades. Older posts are still attached to this profile but the join date changed.
June 2007 but my "history" only goes back to 2012.
My first was around May 2011. My how time flies!
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
My first post was July 31 2012.
I did a quick post on Gregbale's MPC Deora surf adventure..... among other thing's I mentioned how it would look better if he got rid of the stock AMT tire's.
I didn't "officially" introduce myself untill Jan. 17 2013.
BTW: A thankyou to all the member's who welcomed me way back then.

Now is that for your current handle or your previous one? You did use up one of your nine lives in here.
Aaronw, the old Odds & Ends section was vaporized by the mods here years ago. It was later replaced by the Ready Room forum. The old threads and posts from there are lost in Cyberspace...

Thanks. Looks like first post was December of 2009.
27 JAN 2016 is when I posted my introduction in the "Welcome" forum. I have enjoyed every minute since then.

So who is our current “Senior Member” ? On this thread it appears to be Bish and Rob Dec 2002 anybody longer or know of anybody longer who still participates ?
or was that when it started ?
Dec 02 is when the site was completly revamped and everyone had to re-register. The post count starts from then. My second post was commenting on the new look. I think i signed up to the old forum and may have had the odd post, but i didn't like the way it worked.
I think i first came onto the forum in 99 or 2000, when ever i first got a computer.
There are quite a few memebers, including a few active, who's join dates are Dec 02.
Interesting subject, thanks for posting this Keavdog.
First for me was introducing myself back on Nov 29, 2009. Funny TempestJohnny is the only member who welcomed me who still posts reguarly here.
Finally worked up enough guts to post finished models with a Tamiya 1/35th Cromwell and a Gavia 1/48th La-7 on Dec 19, 2009. Due to being on PhotoBucket the photos are locked off from linking. I guess I could transfer them to ImageShack but I still have both models so I suppose I could just retake them instead.
