This is the kit. I shoulda bought it on impulse like every kit I buy.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

A pair of my favorite kits from my childhood were the M50 Ontos by Renwal (and reissued by Revell in the 80s) and the MBT70 by Aurora in the 70s. Both have been kitted in 1/35 scale recently by Academy and Dragon's Black Label.

I grabbed both and they are nice model kits. Each has its own downside. For the Ontos, it was fairly inaccurate, which is a shame because they had access to one being fully restored at Fort Knox.

For the MBT70, they chose the German version of the tank instead of the US version and instead of making a model of one of the two surviving tanks, they took features from both different tanks and made a hybrid that does not accurately represent either tank. It would have been a better solution to make a base version with optional parts to make one or the other prototype with additional optional parts to make a US tank.

I would like to see a new line of 1/72 cold war bombers (B-36, B-47, B-50, etc) and cargo aircraft kitted (C-121, C-124, C-133, etc), and possibly a line of the 40s 50s and 60s X-planes in 1/48. Past that, most everything I want can be found
