Love Modelpaloosa!  It was the first show I went to when I moved back to Florida.  Been every year since.  

It's at a different venue this year right?

Yes it is.  The new location will be onb the web site or facebook.  It will be on the weekend of the18th of October.  Looking forward to seeng you and as many as possible who show up.  Will you be entering the contest?

I'll probably be there again this year but I'm not digging the extra hour and a half drive ( 2 1/2 one way total 5 hours) to Kissimme. That makes for a long day since I like to be there when it opens. For the same reason I doubt that I'll enter anything since i would have to make the drive for 2 days then to check on  Sunday's awards .

What about grabbing the lower rate at the hotel for contest asttendees?  Thart way you only make a rip to there and then a trip home.  If you don't want to spend money for food at the hotel, bring some with you in a cooler.

Did you see my sign in comment at the bottom ?  I could get a couple more models for the cost of a room. No offense intended but for me there's money better spent.

I am hoping to make it this year, my schedule got messed up last year.

Couple of questions for anybody.....

Are there major vendors (Eduard, Zoukei Mura-Volks, Tamiya, etc) like at the nats? And I'm pretty confused about the venue/hotel. It keeps changing, the first one posted last winter closed, now it seems to be a Park Inn by Radisson. I found two different pages apparently hosted by Modelpalooza with two different hotels names. I get confused easily to being with.

I know JJ, PJ and I always try to do lunch together.  We should all meet up and try that.  Greg mentioned he might be able to to make it too.  It's a party!  LOL!

We've got to be there late Friday afternoon to set up and then we'll be there all day Saturday and until the awards presentations are over.  After that, we pack up and head for the east side of town and home.

Hopefully I will be able to attend. My son asked me to help him move from NC to Central Florida so that's up in the air when his transfer gets approved after early October.

Looking forward to it.  I'll be working the club tables with a lot of kits for sale.

I'm going to miss it again this year. Sure would have enjoyed meeting up, darn it.

If nothing else it could be a slight side trip, like a payment for the work.  You will have all day Saturday and part of Sunday.  Never know.

As for anyone else who wants to hook up, let's pick a time and maybe meet up around the entrance or something.  

TJ..I am there on the Saturday.  I spend most of the day there.  I commando through the vendors first thing they open the doors, then I enjoy cruising the contest entries!  Awesome builds...very inspiring......then I commando through again just to make sure I didn't miss anything!   LOL!  I'm the one with arm fulls of kits running out to my car telling everyone which round that is I'm going to the car to drop off kits!  LOL!

I just looked at the vendor table map and it listed the club as having #82 all the way on the right side of the diagram, but I was told that we would be occupying about 5 tables so it might be possible that we will bu in the beginning 50s.  I'll just have to wait until Friday afternoon to find out for sure.   But we will be there and hope to get with all of you.

I'll be there! Had to miss last year because of Hurricane duty in Mexico Beach, so looking forward to making it again. I'll be wearing a Black hat with a Red Dead Pool logo

Sorry everyone...I work for the weather service and as you may know...  I'm a bit busy here in Florida right now.  LOL!

I'll be wearing a blue Disney cruise line t-shirt and I'll wear my black retired Air Force hat until I meet everyone (it's the only hat I have, LOL).
