A very light year for me as well, both at the workbench and on the boards. Duty called here too!

1/72 Harrier GR.3
1/48 Typhoon Mk1
1/72 A-6E Intruder

Thats what you get for spending most of the year away...

Working away at a 1/48 F-15I and 1/72 RN Hellcat Mk1, but won't finish them before the end of the year - and early next year there's a move in store for me so it will be a while before I pick up the pace!

This was a very lean year for me, build-wise.
Look at my signature; that's it for 2004!
Yup, just one model finished. Plenty bought, and plenty talked about, though.

But wait...I still have 11 days left!!

Duty called, as they say, so I spent the better part of six months away from the workbench. Then I had to restock the workbench and fix all the models that I moved from Okinawa, that ate up most of the summer. I did start a 1/35 Cobra, it's waiting for decals and some weathering. and I just started a dio for my LVT that has been collecting dust. I hope to get the Cobra done before the new year, if not, well, I'll get it done next year.

35th: Dragon T-34, Tamiya PzIV
72nd: Monogram SR-71, Academy F-117, Italieri F6F-5, Hasegawa F4F-4
700th: Tamiya King George V
Sheesh it felt like a lot more when I was doing them...
Maybe before the end of the year I'll be able to add the 72nd CF-5 and the Dragon PaK 7.5 which are still on the bench. The Pak is already half done just from working on it this afternoon and tonite, but the figures could take a while... the CF5 has taken me ages already so Im not in a big rush.

I'm a loser. I built Dragon's Panther G Late and Italeri's Sturmtiger in 1/35. I may get Tamiya's Marder III M done before the year is up, it's close.

What did you build in 2004????
Posted by Jeff Herne on Sunday, December 19, 2004 9:01 PM
I was recently asked what I managed to accomplish in modeling in 2004, so I thought it might make an interesting thread...

In 2004, I built:

1 S-100 Class Schnellboote 1/72.
1 IJN Cruiser Nachi in 1/500 scale.
1 IJN tanker in 1/700 scale.
1 IJN destroyer in 1/700 scale.
3 1/48 aircraft (Spitfire, Fw-190D-9 and Ta-152)
1 1/32 aircraft (Bf-109G-6)
2 120mm figures
2 200mm figures
1 Viking Longboat
1 9-foot long, all brass ocean liner
6 1/600 scale ironclads (Confederate)
2 1/144 scale planes
1 1/72 tank
3 Warhammer (25mm?) knights on horseback (just because I liked them)
1 Lord of the Rings Fell Beast
1/350 airfield diorama

And by the end of the year, I'll have 2 more 120mm figures done, a 1/4 scale bust.

Half finished projects include a 1/350 Arleigh Burke, 1/700 IJN Takao and Myoko, a JS-2, Tiger II, and 3 Spitfires.

Not exactly a production line...but entertaining nevertheless.
