Vietnam Huey for a Vet
Posted by tonka on Thursday, March 23, 2017 12:06 PM

Friend of mine at VFW was Crew Chief on UH-1s in Vietnam with 134TH AHC.

Got a pic of his bird and made this for him. its the 1/32 Revell with modifications. Decals were made from images from his unit's facebook page. Gave it to him Tuesday night, he loved it but brought back memories.

Used a picture of his unit with him in it as part of display case

Thought I'd share pics

Way to go, and well done.

My best bud was on them over there as well, and have one in the stash to do for him.  Happened to be the same unit as Ancient Serpent Six, but a couple of years later.

The old Revell kit can come out really nice.  Great job on it.
