just curious to what every ones wish list would be for adding new helos to your collections. i am just starting out in building helos and i am wanting every type of asw from all the sea going nations for my collection. Big Smile [:D]

The M*A*S*H Bell helo in 1/24....cuz its just not big enough in 1/35.

I'm a bit biased towards Navy Helos, so I would like to see an MH-60R or an MH-60S. 1/35 would be great, but even 1/48 would be good. I think a Romeo would make a great large scale model, with options to load it up with 3 torpedoes for ASW or Hellfire and GAU-16 for ASUW.

It's really a crime that the HH-3 hasn't been offered in a good kit by anyone, especially considering how long it served. You could paint it in the old AD gray and yellow scheme or gray and dayglo red arctic markings, Euro I, Desert tan, black, USCG orange and white, and even an Italian bird...you with me Avus?

1st on my list is an HH-60H in 48th scale (I know we have the Cobra set to convert Italeri's but it is expensive!)
Even 1/35th scale would be cool . With HCS-5 Firehawk decal set to show the bird I crewed in during the 1st Gulf War.
CH/AC-47 Chinooks in 48th.
Westland Lynx Has Mk 3 and newer variants Royal Navy
Decals for the current kits available PLEASE!!!!

I'd go for a new-tool CH-53 in USMC markings, and throw a -47 in there too. They could be 1/48 or 1/35 scale. Then I'd need a -46 in 1/35, but may as well dream.

An Agusta-Bell Model 412 (aka CH-46 Griffon) in 1/35 ... so that I won't have to convert Panda's (unprecise) UH-1N!

BTW I was thinking about sanding all the rivets off the UH-1N and make new ones that are in scale ... my optician will be glad to hear that! Big Smile [:D]

My preference is 1/72, but I know you large-scale guys outnumber me.

HRP-1? you talkin bout the Flying Bannana? and what helicoptor looked like the SH-3 seaking but had the engine under the cocpit and the pasenger compartment behind the engine bay.

It didn't really look that much like a Seaking but, I think what you are referring to is the H-34 Choctaw. Which, by the way, is one I would like to add to my list along with an H-19. BOTH in 1/35, of course!!!
And hey, Mikey. If memory serves me right, all you have to do to build an "E" Huey is get an MRC "C" Huey and the Cobra Company "B" backdate set and VOILA!! You have an early "E"!!! Build it as is for a later "E". Unless you want the TAT101, then you're gonna have to do a little scratch building.
I would also like to see some decent crew figures to go with each era of helicopters. Pilot, co-pilot, crew chief and gunner, if applicable. Plus some ground crew figures for the same helos!!!

Been away for a while and all of my wishlist helo's have been taken so I will just reinforce the call for an H-37 and an H-21. I will add one new fantasy to the list though, how about a Cheyenne or the Huey with the jets and the wings that I saw at Ft. Eustis? Does anyone know what this one is called?

Sounds like you're talking about the X-Wing (no, not the Star Wars one). It was an experimental aircraft used to test the possibility of high speed helicopter flight. Had wings, rotors and two big turbofans next to the fuselage. I think they got a top speed out of it in the 400mph range, but I'm not sure what happened to the program after the mid-late 80s.

Anyone else know?

I remember seeing pictures of it.

I seem to recall hearing or reading somewhere that the aircraft was lost in a fatal crash and that sort of put an end to the program.

But then I could be wrong about that.
