No tracking # available and I found out it didn't ship till 2 FEB, not 31 Jan.  Guess I'll have to wait a few more days.Sad [:(]

You may still get yours before me Marke.

I had forgotten I had placed a order for one with Squadron until yesterday when they announced that they were shipping theres, so it looks as if I will have a second one arriving on Monday or Tuesday.Big Smile [:D]

Okay here are some shots of how the interior of the aft pylon and a front end view of the forward pylon (sorry for the poor quality of photos)

But you should be able to get an idea of the problem the aft pylon interior poses if the ramp is posed in the lowered position.

On the forward pylon, the sides (work platforms) are very close to being vertical, no more than a 1 degree inward slope if that. One thing I didn't notice yesterday is that the forward pylon looks like it has a huge "scalloped" (for lack of a better word) area just under the rainshield starting on the forward crown area and tapering back to the first section of synchshaft covering.

I'm gonna have to look at some more photos to make sure this is right, I don't remember this feature going into the forward crown area on any of the As that I worked on.

Trump Hook front-end rework

Hey guys...

I used the picture of the assembled prototype to come up with the areas that would require rework... (see below)

I'm leaning toward sanding smooth the clear front piece, and using it as a mold to thermoform a new one, then scribe the correct window panels in it.      The front of the doghouse needs to be more verticle than it is, and seeing as how the "A" models had a two inch verticle seam between the front and side panels, I would excise the kit piece and use it to modify a new one. (see below)

I haven't seen a straight-on view of the front... can any of you that already have the kit, look at it and tell me if the sides of the forward pylon are verticle, or sloping toward the top?     If they are sloping in, one could remove the inspection doors, scratch a new rain shield to fit the expanded front and sides, then clean it up with puddy?

No, Troy, I haven't got one yet... kinda waiting around to see some reports first so I can get an idea of what it's going to take.      I'm still at an impass as to how to fix the aft lateral fuselage area between the back of the engines to the top of the ramp door... (see below)

It may be that this area will have to be removed altogether and another one formed from puddy... who knows... I'll cross that bridge when i come to it. Smile [:)]

Take care,

Frank
