Even newer UH1 Huey pics!

go to Huey stuff then look at chopper1, pedals and sticks.

The chopper pics shows some sanding and removed foward doors and removed engine air vents.

The PEDAL pics are slightly fuzzy but you get the idea.

The STICKS shows the cyclic and control stick details.

Here is the link and ENJOY!

Troy,
The link you posted just takes you into the briefcase login widow. Can you post the actual page that the briefcase points to?

Great detail on the control surfaces! The dials, gauges, and stick look great! Can't wait to see it finished! Which kit are you working on, the Academy?

DUDE! brace yourself:

It's Monogram's 1/24 Huey B/C Huey UH-1 gunship.

They must hace had some interesting pics and info way back in 64? ( I think ) cuz this kit has both features of the B and C.

I have used several kits to build just one...so far.

The latest kit is the best! The decals are TOPS with all the door instructions like ( pull here ) and ( up ) etc etc with the arrows and real nice AIR CAV markings!

The engine, rotor and tranny stuff is all chromed with a real nice semi satin finnish ( like it was already painted with metalizer )

Incredible! By far, one of the only Mono kits I've seen with any real detail. My hats off to you for stumping me.

Thanks Claymore! thanks Demono!

Tonight I cut out the hell hole for the lower cargo hook.
....I think they call that hole the 'hell hole'?

THANKS!

All the controls, dials and gauges are scratch built.....I have done the same thing to my 1/23 scale UH1-D years back.

The kits main panel is flat with a really bad decal for the gauges and it's too short from top to bottom.

I normaly do not use my yahoo messenger but my address is ttenlow@prodigy.net.

well since you dont use your messanger I"ll just ask you here. How do you make your gauge faces? Have any pics on the process? I'm pretty curious since I have 3 1/35 panda kits on the way. We all know how crappy the gauges are on those kits.

Unknownpharoah,

At 1/35 scale I'm afraid that it would be almost impossible! It was quit a task at 1/32.

On the 1/24 Huey:

For the Gaues I used some of the decal art from the 1/24 Huey kit, some from AUTO and other misc decals. Then I pre-drilled holes the size of the gauge face in .030 styrene ( I think? )...... drilled even smaller holes in the corners to give them that mounting screw look, glued clear styrene under the styrene, after that I used my trusty number 11 blade and cut around the holes creating the gauge frames, painted them and put them in place and thats how I did it. Then after few months of intense therapy I was fine.

The switches are misc wires using the wires insulation as the base for the switch and some other odd sized stuff and again decals from my misc decal grab bag that comes in very handy in times like this......of all the Kits in my closet some have turned into parts kits.

I would steel the consols/interior from a MRC kit......I have a 1/35 MRC Huey C kit that is 98% complete that I will send to you for 10.00 bucks including shipping.....do you use PAYPAL?

Hope that helps!
