Hey Guys,

Here are a few of the just about completed Cold Day In Hell Pics. There are a few small details that I need to address ( I'm sure you fellas will find them!) These pics were taken in the afternoon with moderate cloud cover...I may try a different light next time. Thank all of youguys for your input and ideas. ALL comments welcome.

When you get your overcast day, it might be fun to experiment with taking pictures at different times of the day. Perhaps taking the pictures at dawn or dusk might add to the illusion of being cold.

CJ, Good point and good eye. It does have a dusky look..I think the cleaned up version helps with me see it a little clearer just so I can see what needs to be done...i'm still working on the photo part of the hobby, which is another whole hobby! As you know I will take the finished dio outside to get some good light, but will wait for a overcast day for sure to give it a grey look! I do want it to look coooold! 

Barruel, I think it is all personal preference, I do like to see what can be done with photo software though...the only think I noticed about the tweek is it lightened up somethings on the figs (around the ammo pouches) that dont fit in....it surely does make the snow look white...thanks again!

I am glad you liked it. I just used the good old ACDSee Pro software with the following steps:

1st - Auto  exposure

2nd - Contrast & Fill light

3rd - Saturation & Lightness

4th - Unsharp mask

Again, it's all in the eye of the beholder, as the saying goes!

The pictures need a little bit of tweaking with the white balancing, though!

Chris, Thanks for the Positive comments! I wish I had something to do with the speed...I only have two gears...one is stop. The left over glue was my bad judgement, I used zap insted of white glue and is got away from me...it will all get a final light dusting of "snow", so it will cover it I hope....and it will ,as you said, give a time frame of how long ago the Germans expired. Thanks again for checking it out!

wow... thats looking unbelievable, hey if all your updates are this good, I'm not one to complain if they don't happen at super speeds lol by all means take your time

The only thing I noticed, and I had been looking at the pictures a few times over, so not a big deal, is that some left over glue on the tree near those ammo belts? Or a "wet" spot? If you didn't want it there, I guess you'd have to paint over all that natural wood? So I'd suggest adding the powdered snow over top, also on the ammo, again- would work to make it look like they were there a while.

Looks really real though- again, awesome update Stern0!!!

 I did find some info on the german ammo cans(Thanks Smitty!) and it does not seem that the tops come off...I did find out where they were hinged though!
