Na .... you can't really tell looking at the figs in person. Dave won't go under the knife.

Fortunatly ... or unfortunatly ... however you want to look at it, my camera gets up in there real good. Like I said before, I use my pics to pick out flaws that I just can't see in person, even under three lamps!

That side of his face won't be facing the open door. Plus I'm counting on plenty of shading going on once the bird gets closed up again.

I'd add the highlights tonight, but I'm looking forward to going to bed early tonight .... Ahhh, such is life .... when you got jack-sh!t to do.

Hey, maybe when it gets cold up there you can snow-bird down here and we can to jack together! HAHA!!! .... on second thought, we'd probably just get into trouble and have to call someone for bail. ... better stay home.

Glad you got to use the idea. Turns out, I may have the room for something similar. We'll see. I should be finishing that one up tomorrow.

Great work on the pilots, MC.

When I read in an earlier post that you were not to remove the cast belts I thought "this will look crappy", BUT seeing the result I'm definitively reconsidering!

Looking forward to see the riders ...

BTW I posted a link in the figures section: have a look. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Thanks, Avus. I'm glad you like the pilots. I'm still not sold on the whole painted on vest, but I'm not going to change anything until I see what it looks like w/ them in the bird. I'm just hoping that everything will be fine and it won't end up being another tear-out job!?!

Come on down, Camo ... we can hunt together.

Good catch Tom, I was just kidding about those BFF rings, didn't think you guys were half-heart-necklace serious, little did I know... Whistling [:-^]Should be interesting to see how those masking tape seatbelts work to cover up the molded on ones, I think it'll look nice all buttoned up inside the cockpit, I'm sure no one would notice the belts with all those D-boys on the sides, but that's just my My 2 cents [2c] lol

It makes sense to get all the little details right, so that everything’s done up to your best effort and all blends cohesively. Even though the little details might not be in the open, they still add to the whole picture.

That would be a negative ... hmmm, but I might be able to fill a camalbak .... its an option!

Anyways! Laugh [(-D] ...since the SEAL figure is done, I'm returning my attention to this one. I've got the pilots finished up and am just adding a little more detail to the cockpit before putting the pilots in. After that, I'm going to dull coat the interior before closing everything up. I'm hoping to be READY to close things up by COB today ... however, I'm taking it easy on modeling today.

We'll post pics of my progress later today ...

Just b/c Camo said I wouldn't ....

*** UPDATE ***

I've gotten the pilots in. No real problems here except I had to remove the co-pilot's stick IOT put him in. Just clipped it and then reglued it. I don't think you can even tell. Will be giving things a 2nd dry-fit of sorts later today to see how much effort will have to be put into getting the fuse halves back together along w/ the wind screen. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Only thing to do before that is to get the pilots strapped in ... Anyway, w/o further delay ...

I was thinking about adding one of those mission "leg-boards" (hell, I don't know what they're called) to the co-pilot's leg ... something w/ notes and maybe a map on it. But I don't know how accurate that is. Any suggestions?

Since this one is at a going pausing point, I might switch over to my "Calm" build for a day or so. We'll see.

As always, any C&C welcome.

Looking great! I like the idea of the map/note board on the copilots leg- although I'd wait for someone to come in with the accuracy. The fire extinguisher looks great- and you're right, can't tell at all about the stick surgery.

Yeah, ya like that!?! I saw Maki's write-up on it .... seems like its a pretty nice kit from what he tells me. However, I went to Evolution's website and had to look through about 4-5 different distros IOT find it. I did find it through a company either in the UK or in Germany, I can't remember. But, I'm not going to do that. I might contact their US distros to see if they plan to reorder, but I'm not paying shipping that's either just as expensive (or more) as the figure. Thats retarded.

Besides this hobby not having much in the way of modern stuff, the prices of this crap are killing me. (Although ... Evolution has decent pricing for a foreign company...)

Hey, thanks Chris ... sorry, I didn't mean to ignore your post ... I might get that map/ note board on soon, but I'm just taking a step back for the moment to collect my thoughts.

Oh- no that's fine, no problem. I hear you- make sure that "take a step back" actually means "work on the calm build" hahaha Tongue [:P]

I know LBs had a different support kind of mission than the Blackhawks actually did, not too sure the accuracy on either one sporting the clipboard- so it makes sense that youd wait on some history info. That being said, it would make total sense in a built up, urban maze like Mog. Maybe make some grease pencil markings on the windscreen! haha that’s more Vietnam though I guess...

Seriously though- wouldn't want you to close it all in prematurely and then have to pry it back apart again...
