Hey Gamera & TB, thanks for the comments. Well the Pz III is basically done. Possibly there might be some tweaking. The balkenkreuz are from Archer Fine Transfers and the vehicle numbers and division markings are decals. The figures will come later. Now onto the Pz II Luchs. As always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Well I took off for the July 4th holiday. First to give myself a little holiday fun and breather and most importantly July 4th is my wedding anniversary. The big 4-0. The wife and I had a great time. So here are a couple of pics. The Pz II Luchs by ICM and the AM brass barrel which replaced the detail less plastic one. I've primed most of the parts separately and put together the lower hull and now I'll be doing the roadwheels and individual tracks. There will be more pics to follow. I hope everyone had a great July 4th weekend.

Hey G I understand what you mean. You have to pay special attention to certain fits on this kit especially the drive sprockets. I figure the rest of the build should go without a hitch.

Well I finally finished the tracks. They'll definitely get more weathering, but at least they're on the tank.

They look perfect to me. Just need a little paint and weathering.

Well I finally finished this "clean" version of the hull. It still needs some serious weathering. I was a bit disappointed with the fit on this kit, but I managed. I also had to kitbash/scratchbuild some parts; especially the antennas. The kit calls for 'string' to be made as cable but I used the twisted 3 wire technique instead and I also have to add the balkenkreuz's. I've begun the turret and should be adding it soon. I'm debating if I should camouflage this tank. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. As always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Well I can say that the Pz II Luchs is finished. Its been weathered and ready to go. I will add some soot to the exhaust grilles when its ready for the diorama and like the Pz III, the figures will come later. Remember that all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

After building two not so difficult tank models. I could've just gone with the standard Tamiya Pak 40, but I thought I'd tackle this Pak 40 from AFV Club. Hopefully it won't be as difficult(sic) as it says on the box. Besides I'll be adding the figures from Warriors to this anti-tank gun. Wish me luck.

All I can say for AFV Club's Pak 40 is that its a rabbit hole that Alice wouldn't want to go into; but the gauntlet has been tossed. Next time I'll stick with the ol' reliable Tamiya kit. But I've got some work done on the gun and shield with some; what I feel is, unnecessary components like the extremely small shield bolts. As always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Yow that does look like a pretty serious kit! Think I'll stick to the vintage Tamiya kit too! 

Oh dear, I have that AFV Club kit in my stash. Still, there are so many other kits in there too I'll probably never get around to it. Great work so far, looking forward to more.

Well I have some WIP pics along with the base color painted pics and the finished Pak 40. I still need to weather it, but that will come later. This is a good kit I was disappointed with the shield bolts. As always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comments Bakster. I've been busy with the first six figures of my diorama. I have four Wehrmacht figures from Dragon and two tank commanders from Tamiya; although the Pz. III commander will be sporting an Alpine head. There will be three more Pak 40 figures coming along to complete my personnel. Then it will be priming and painting.

Hey Dodgy, I appreciate your curiosity. These are the Pak 40 crew, they're from the Warriors set. It's a shame that Warriors went out of business. I felt that their figures were just as good or better than Alpines figures only because they had more "action" figures while Alpine's figures are usually in a standing pose. Bravo6 which caters to the Vietnam genre has plenty of "action" posed figures in resin. But I've digressed. All the figures are primed and puttied; where needed, and now its off to painting them.

These figures look great.  Their poses are animated and the facial expressions show the true nature of war.  Can't wait to see them as you paint and finish them.

I fully agree with you Tom. TigerII, if you don't mind me making a suggestion, when you paint your figures, study some colour photos of german personal equipment. Things like mess gear, gas mask containers and bayonet scabbards are heavily worn with significant paint loss. A small detail, but one often missed. I hope you don't mind.

No Dodgy I don't mind, that's why I normally write down that comments and critiques are greatly appreciated. I've started the facial painting part. I noticed that the faces from Dragon look alike eventhough they're on different figures; also the head from Alpine (headphones) will need extra tweaking. But I do like how the Warriors faces came out. Once the faces are done then I'll fine tune the hands.

Anytime I see what other modelers are doing to add the little details, and the time they are taking to add said details, it inspires me to say the least, so I thank you for that as well!
