ajlafleche wrote:Back on topic for the dio...I've looked at this several times and realize what's wrong...the check point looks like it's in the middle of the town square. No reason for anyone to walk through the gate when they could walk or drive right around it. Minimally, there should be groundwork defining a road and a choke point in that road to force travellers to stop. It would be like putting a sobriety check point in the middle of a parking lot and expecting people to drive over to it to go under the gate. The hedgehog is also off to the side of the center of the gate so anyone running the gate (Why, I can't imagine when it's so easy to drive around it) wouud not be hampered by the obstacle unless the two guards antoicipate the runner and drag it to the middle of the gate and the driver still insists on going through instead of around the gate.
But always remember "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE" Maybe the check point was set up in the society where rules are based on honor system and these are law abiding honorable citizens who wants to obey the rule by not walking around to avoid the check point.

Bennie, the bichon frise, after watching "Into the West"
Both are rescue dogs.
Augustus, aka, Gus, is behind Dixie in the first pick, I don't have access to a picture of Abby, the 20 pounder.

No offense but...That dog looks like it was just scraped off the road...Here's my entrty for the "In The Dooghouse" GB '07 Just a couple drops of semi-gloss brown for the eyes That would also be an easy fix for MM's Shep, or even just some varnish...---Kevin

Or maybe they know that if they walk around they will be "eliminated"?
And, as far as dogs maybe y'all could start photoshopping what they are thinking. You could do an entire new web set! Wait it's already been done...never mind.
But really haven't any of you heard that at 1/35 you wouldn't see "eyes". I for one never let the issue get confused by the facts (I.E. I paint eyes)

Yeah, I agree--I've heard of that thing about not painting eyes in 1/35 but I disagree with it. AI's doog in the scene really looks lifeless. A, off-white background mostly filled in with a big black/brown orb, and a shot of gloss would really give that dog some mojo!
Well, if it's a thread hijack... Sorry MM, here's my entry for "Doog" eyes
This is Shakzar, our 3 year old Pit. I don't go anywhere without him tagging along.

I want you to know that I've "saved" all your doog's pictures in my photo files!
Deputy Brad, did your doog get out of the photobucket? Did you leave the gate open?...
*edit* OOPS! He's back! (when I brought this post up, I couldn't see his photo anymore, about two hours ago!) What a good doog!

Doog - actually these too have curtailed my modelling alot. They rather I watch TV so they keep me pinned down and smothered with kisses. Lana has a strange habit of climbing to the back of the chair and sleeping at the back of my neck. She acts like my living pillow! And yes they will attack model parts! The front wheel of an AFV Club 251/22 fell victim as well as two gas cans and a figure's head.

I know what you mean about the "living pillow" thing! I had an old girlfriend from Holland whose Maltese/terrier mix-doog "Dexter' used to do that in the car while she was driving, if you can believe that! It was hilarious! You just could NOT keep him in the back seat! He'd squirm around the window-side of the seat and wiggle himself into place behind her neck--staring right at me in the passenger seat! I miss HIM a lot!
Im a dog lover also i have 3 of them but try as i might to keep them out of my modeling room because of the hair problem i failed miserable so i just gave in i have an old suitcase they love to sleep in plus a cage and it works on a first come first serve basis my 2 rat terriers (flea and peg) are happy to share.
but tod (collie/austrailian shepard mix) likes it all too himself
AWWWW! That pic in the suitcase is so funny! Like "Check-on doogs"! LOL!
Very cute. Ron!
