Very nice work in all departments. Groundwork is great, the camo on the beast is awesome, figures are nicely done. Well rounded dio, I'd say.

Ive seen his work up close. His figures are amazing. I was round his house tonight and he has soo much other stuff that im trying to persuade him to show. Ive promised ill take my SLR round and photograph some of his other dios..and tanks...and figures..and etc etc etc.

Very, very cool, Bodge! A nice sense of action, and well-executed models all around.

If I may, however, two things strike me--the first is the tall pole right near the Tiger's muzzle brake--wouldn't the barrel have most likely snapped that in half? It might be cool to "snap" it at barrel-height, to show even more "action".

The second thing is the guy's pose standing on the back of the Tiger's turret--he looks way too "straight" in his posture to be standing un-braced on the turret of a moving, pitching Tiger like so. I'd get rid of him entirely, and maybe put a guy on the rear deck, bracing himself against the turret.

Great work otherwise though!

Pretty cool dio though? My plan is to take a few more pics of his stuff and post it. He has a cracker of a bunker dio and one for you Doogster, A German soldier on a Horse, in 1/16th ish. Stay tuned.

A lot to look at in this dio and most of what I see is good! One thing that I always like to learn first about a dio is when and where...since most of the figs are dressed for cold/cooler weather I am assuming this to be in the Fall? Also, where? Battle of the Bulge? There are both green and dead foilage in the dio which confuses me a bit more...

The figs are generally good...I agree with doog on the one fig standing on the turret rear...even if the tank is stopped, what is he doing there? And when they start to move again, he will be one unhappy camper...also, you can see the putty? holding him to the tank...I would move him to the ground...about that pole: to me it is distracting and competes for attention with the lamppost (that lamppost gets around!)...if the story is about lack of fuel, maybe have on of the KT's crewman standing on the engine deck and pointing to a jerrycan in his other hand, or holding it upside down to show: "We are nearly dry."

All in all a lot of fine work...just tighten up the story a bit and don't add elements that don't further the story...also, keep consistant to a date and place so that you and the viewer can take the scene in context...keep up the great work!!!  Dio builders a re a dying breed!!

As far as your comment about "political correctness"?? I see none whatsoever here. Nor do I see anythng whatsoever about "brown and green vegetation"?? If that arrived via Private Message, you should have taken that up with the messenger.

But perhaps it would serve your expectations better to not post ant more work. It would, after all, protect you from any more comments which do not meet your expectations? I, for one, would find that sad, as your work is really very, very good and your loss would be a loss to the site and the fine modelers here who were only doing and responding in the manner which you had originaly requested. We would ask for, and expect, the same.

Like Manny said most of what I see is good.Love the vegetation and stone work, look's like you have to water this thing once a week.I like the way you have the KT coming through the hedge really show's off the size of these beast's.

  But,if I may be so bold,there are a couple of thing's.first the two guy's to the right of the KT look like their dressed for mid winter while everything else look's like early or mid fall.Also the pole look's outta place and unnatural.

  On your KT the spare track's look like their just stuck to the side's of the turret. On the real thing these were hung on L shaped bracket's welded to the side of the turret.

  I agree also that you should move the guy off the top of the tank and position him some where else in the scene.

    Other than those little thing's it look's great.

Your work is amazing and I envy the skill! 

By the way, I don't think anyone is trying to dig at you.  Most of people here on FSM are very friendly and helpful.  I've learned a lot from them and I hope you will also get something out of this forum as well.

Figs and the KT aside, I am most impressed by the vegetation and basework. I am going to try one day to translate that to braille scale.

What did you sue for the gnarled treeline, natural roots?

As a pure Dio fan and not a builder.....I love the whole piece!

I learn about the drama, storytelling aspects and modeling tips through the comments posted about a subject. Criticism is not a bad word.......it can be good or bad. Usually it is all constuctive.
