Another nice one.  I understand the bench fatigue, I have completed 9 in the last five months including the latest, the Tamiya 1/48 Lancaster.  I haven't done much bench time in the last week or so but have two more underway, an XP-59A and an A-7A.  It's been a lot of fun, too.

Very, very nice work. One of my favorite kits - the cockpit and engine are jewels, little sub-kits of their own.

I was about to have to tell you that I'd slept a bunch since this build, but fortunately, I was writing a build log and actually recorded the paints that I used on this 'Bolt.

For the primary exterior paint job -- Model Master Acryl Neutral Gray, Acryl Olive Drab, and Enamel Faded Olive Drab.  The tail was Model Master Acryl Insignia Yellow.  The nose cone was Model Master Acryl Insignia Red.  Wheel wells are Model Master Acryl Yellow Zinc Chromate, and the cockpit was Model Master Acryl Green Zinc Chromate.  I also used Model Master Acryl Chrome Silver, Acryl Clear Blue, and Acryl Clear Red for detail painting.

Very nice razorback. I agree that it is a stunning build.

Nice build I have that kit waiting in the wings and I hope I can make it look as good as yours. One of my favorite aircraft.

I like the subtle weathering on it. Nicely put together. Any pics of the cockpit you can share? 

Great work on a great airplane. The drop tanks make it look more massive that it was. Nice paint work.

Another cracker. I agree that the P-47 kits are among the best ever produced in 1/48, but I’d also like to submit the latest A6M5 into the mix as well. The big advantage for the Jug is the slip molded blast tubes though...

Have the MM Acryl paints changed in the last few years? I had the full RLM line, and I found the paints to be difficult to mix fully, and tip drying was a real problem when airbrushing. 

Anyway, great work and thanks for sharing. Now get some rest!

I've never really noticed any problems with the Acryl paints with regard to mixing, but admittedly I have not often felt the need to mix them.  Tip drying, yes, still an issue.  

I've actually moved on from this line despite having a full drawer of these bottles.  Now I use more Vallejo paint than anything else.

I just noticed this was a zombie thread. I use a lot of Tamiya paints, and Mission Models (love these!), but I wanted to clarify my comment about mixing... I should have said stirring, the paints I had settled a lot and it was difficult to get them properly blended. Then again, I can’t verify the age of the paints when I received them...

Anyway, enough yapping.
