In the upper left of the pictures, in the background there appears to be machine gun barrels. One has a 15 degree bend in it. How does the bullet make the turn?

Great job on the scratch-built items.  They add alot and are well done in general.

Those ammo bins are huge!  Does anyone know how many 50-cal rounds they hold?

Very nice Fred!  That is going to look very nice.  Everything has a rough, used look to it.  Very convincing.

Beginnings of a very visible B-17G - new pics 1/19

Hey gang,

I started working on the veritable visible B-17G last weekend.  Since I decided to utilise the visible aspect of the kit, I figured I'd deck it out with all the AM and scratchbuilt parts I could.  I picked up all of the Eduard PE kits available and an assortment of styrene (to fill in what I didn't already have).

So far, I have about 15 hours into the kit and I'm still on step 1 (technically step 4, but the first 3 steps are painting the figures).

Scratchbuilt parts include the fire extinguisher, the O2 bottle, log book and pencil, headset, table leg, electrical wiing and the bomb bay side bulkhead.  PE parts are the radios, desktop, the little dyno in the corner and the ball turret ammo cans.

Enjoy and stay tuned for updates as they happen.
