Beautiful work and improvements on these two classics! I can hear the theme music now! You certainly stirred some memories here!

"Morning Tommy, you bring your life raft?"

"Not going swimming today Boyington... maybe you!"

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

Dang!  Those are some spectacular builds Aaron.  Watching these two come together has been a lot of fun, even as a spectator.  If you had half as much fun building them as I did watching, I would say you succeeded and then some!  Those pilots are da' bomb, and I think the COrsair pilot looks like the Campbell's Soup Kid.  And, who is that handsome chap in the optivisor popping his head outta the Corsair cockpit?  He looks to be a delightful chap.

Well done Aaron, OVER THE TOP FUN!!! Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Bow [bow]

Excellent job!! I've built both of these kits back when they were brand new! (Showing my age) You've shown that even the older kits can be made into eye-popping contest winning works of art!

Revell 1/32 Baa Baa Black Sheep Models
Posted by sfcmac on Sunday, March 8, 2009 6:01 PM

Hi fellows!  I have been busy working on both the Revell 1/32 Baa Baa Black Sheep Models for a while now.

These are very old kits from 1976 ( Corsair) and 1978 ( Zero) Both are reboxed older molds. The Corsair has the date 1970 molded in so that makes it top of the line 39 Years ago. Shock [:O]

They were both a most wonderful gift and I very much enjoyed working on them. Almost like reliving my childhood thru models. I thought I would share and see if it stirred memories for others.

I tackled the Corsair first. The Revell pit is not accurate so included in it was the LoneStar resin replacement. ( Very Considerate)  I actually got into it so much I added something to almost every step. Didn't use the instuction sheet much. I did use the advice of resident Corsair experts on the forume very heavily though! Bow [bow]

Couple high lites of the build to show some of the work.

The Engine and cowling , gear wells, exhaust, pit, extc.. extc... I have many pics so if there are any questions just holler.

Original Figure!  Looked like a Marine to me but I was told it looks like the Gerber baby all grown up.

Any Resemblance?

Pit parts

Really had a ball with it and dove right into the Zero!

I call him Hirachi after the Devil in the Slot episiode. A two parter!

Spent two full days looking at this pic and Scratching a new site for it! The Pics and Decals are from the New Tamiya kit!  The Kit decals and paint are inaccurate for a Rabaul Zero and the kit marking were made to match the TV show.  I went with the True markings just cuz Mischief [:-,]

an exercise in Tiny!

Tryed to not get to carried away with pics bit I see I failed.

My thanks to all who gave support , help and showed as much enthusiasm and passion for these old war horses as I have.  I hope I did them some justice.

Let me know what you think! Thanks for looking! Thumbs Up [tup]
