Cheers for that Squeakie, Its a great subject for Chuck to build but mine was a huge dissapointment for me. My paint was just....Wrong. Contamination or something. The pit came out sweetly its just the horrid paint job. Hopefully Chucks wonders will give me the urge to strip and repaint. Never done that before. Bit daunting.

well I just discovered that guy has another hidden talent! He's really good with Adobe Photoshop. That was pretty good putting the real plane right next to the paint bottle<G>!! Beautifull build Guy!

p.s. I really did think it was a real plane when I first looked at the pic

Thanks, my friends!

That's a good tip,Lufty- I'll have toput that into practice.

Well, I've managed to barter for a CMK engine set- more fun for the future!   Top of wings and fuselage are fully riveted, and I'm in bachelor mode as the wife heads off to visit her mom.  Modeling weekend ahead!

Fantastic stuff Chuck. Theres always something with your posts that i look at and think 'What a great idea' With this post it was the clear acetate as a guide for rivetting.

I recently read a great article on a guy who completely rescribed an Airfix sunderland. He ran tamiya extra thin into the rescribed lines to smooth them out. Looked like perfection when finished. Might make your life easier if it works for you.

Simply amazing! You certainly know how to bring a build to life!

I have to say that your previous build was incredible and I will be watching this one as well.

Since I'm just getting into scribing and detailing your thread is very informative.

May I ask what size that watch gear is?

I have a few sitting around including 2 with dual rows of teeth.

Thanks.

Chuck,

You are one amazingly talented person!  Thanks for sharing your skills with us mere mortals!  Looking forward to the build.  I made a "rivet" tool using an old watch gear.

Clear Left!

Excellent, Chuck, I just got an alert that you started the new build, a great start!  You do not disappoint, I like how you even scratchbuild your tools.

And as the others have noted, great characters, especially Marlene ("Zay it viss me, now, poys-mar-layhn-eh")  But here's a challenge for you--would you scratchbuild and modify the kit figures into your characters?  It only seems fitting, that they be there with the final product.

Can't wait for your next installment!

All the best.

Was spell bound by the Helldiver postings, will be watching this one like a hawk as well.  I dont think of these as Works in Progress but more of a tutorial and how-to, with some great illustrations to keep us entertained.  Love it, keep up the great work.

Your riveter is a nice adaptation of a pattern tracing wheel. I am not 100% certain, but I think that your telephone tool might just be an old example of a tool that is used to lay wire conductors neatly tucked away in a crowded circuit tray.

That little sucker would've come in real handy when I was building my Short Stirling.  I might have to steal- I mean, appropriate the design in the future.  Wink [;)]

Giant Pfennig Eagle- I like that!

I'm deeply grateful for the warm reception given to my introductory post- many thanks!  As usual, though, I'm running against the clock, so my lovely assistant Fritzi will get this project, um,  into gear!

I like this bird. Have a Pro-Modeler and another different version in the stash. Should really get to work on one of them (or maybe the Pro-Mod ME-110 or the P-38 etc, etc. ) oh well ya gets the message. To many models waiting in the stash. RickM

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. A fraulein! Just what the other thread was missing. But what's up with the mysterious Gestapo looking guy? I am looking forward to letting this one unfold. And what will chuk call the coin this time? Giant Pfennig Eagle? And the burly guy? This is more than just your everyday tutorial, this has entertainment value. Thanks, chuk!
