This ones about 95% complete.. Still have more antennae and other fiddly bits to add. Opinions, criticisms welcomed! This kit is a beast! It has a wingspan of about 22 inches and a length of about 16! Did it as Ens George Bush's aircraft from 1944. Boy, adding these pics one at a time is tedious!  thanks for looking!

thanks.. It isn't a bad build..lots of interior details and PE included in the kit. I like the fact that you can move the wings from the folded to extended positions. Engine has separate rocker covers for each cylinder which the pushrods engage through tiny holes..a little tedious..And, like all trumpeter offerings lately lots of detail but no way to see it. inside the wings are cannons with ammo troughs and blast tubes. Also there are so many engine components hidden behind the cylinder banks, you'll never see them!  That all being said, i enjoyed building it. there are lots of ordnance options from the torpedo to bombs, rockets and even an internal belly tank. All told, it took me about 3 months to complete.

Thanks to all for the encouraging words.   My builds are not as frequent as I'd like, but then that inverse rule of modelers applies.. when you're a kid, ya got time, but limited resources..As an adult, I got much better resources but no time! I tend to stick with 1/32 as it is easier for me to see. I'll do 1/48 now and then but Braille scale 1/72  1/144 : you guys can have that!!  Someone at my office commented that there weren't any naval aircraft represented i my collection.. now to find a wildcat, hellcat, and SbD..

I really, really, really need to get this project finished!

It's about 45% done (just got the cockpit painted and the turrent done, not painted. Bomb bay and wings done.

The rest are still in the box though! Sigh, that inverse law is working out for me more than ever, especially now that my 1.5 year old son is up and running! He has a PRECHANT for ruining daddy's "pretty" models, especially planes! This is how my Tamiya's M-1 ended up in PIECES and now is buried in a land fill somewhere! The bed room and now my basement is strictly off limits! Sigh, I need to find some time to do this, and working from 10-2 everyday doesn't help matters either!

On the Bench: Man, Choices, Choices...Where to start. But trying to close up shop on the Trumpeter F4F-3 (Early) Wildcat. On the Stash: Trumpeter's TBM-3 Avenger, Revell's C-17, Trumpeter's 1/32 Typhoon, Trumpeter's SBD-3 Dauntless, and waiting for my BR-86 to arrive In the "Spare Parts" Heap: Dragon's 1/32 P-51D Mustang Early Version (Worst kit I ever saw. Wasted $35 bucks! Ohh Well)!!!

I could trade you a 32nd wildcat for something. if youre interested email me or PM me and we can talk.BTW It looks great, I have this one in my stash waiting to be built. It calls my name every day lately but theres no way I have time for her right now. No wonder I have relationship problems..no time lol :P.

Edit: I know we are not suppose to advertise trading sorry.

I love the smell of paint thinner in the morning! Semper Fi!!
