Uhh, rule 1: never argue with Fritzi, especially when she's onto something. Great results from the zenithal, kind of a forced-perspective shadow effect, I like it. I may have to give it a shot next time I'm thinking in 1/48, not sure it would show much at the smaller scales.
("zenithal"... sounds like the next great prescription... Discontinue using zenithal if you experience nausea, heartburn, dizziness or rivet-counting!)

Wow- those look perfect! I'll have to see if there's a Hobby Lobby in the area- and there's always on-line shopping. Do they carry beading sets as well- you know, those "rivet-makers?"

Hey chuck, those sanding sticks are nice but try these if you dont have them:
A little set of metal files, the 2 skinny ones have all but replaced the plastic sanding sticks on my bench. they can be found at hobby lobby in the beading section for about $5.

Vance, the cables are .0010 solder, and the other skinny stuff is various iron and copper wire scrounged from here 'n' ther.
Hercmech, that center seat is on rails and slides to the right after the pilot sits down. Then the RIO comes in, slides the seat over and takes his place. Lastly, the Funker climbs in and they all go flying! I think the RIO/Bombardier would slide hi seat back to the right, open up the folding floor (not yet in my cockpit) and man the Lofte bombsight to work his mischief.
Baron, that wheel is the poster child for "This Kit needs a PE set!"

That is a tight fit, sort of like putting a bowling ball into a light socket. You'd need one very skinny man, so I wouldn't qualify. My's too big!
I love the seats, Chuck, they are suitably worn and have such a great texture! And thank you for showing that it is possible to make wheels like that. I need to make some for some F4B-4s and Bf-109s in 1/48. I used to have the brake wheels from my old Tyco HO railroad cars, but I can't find them anymore. But you've shown that it can be done. Now, I just have to get a soldering pen....

Great how-to on building a bulkhead full of gizmos! I like the description of how the rear turret operated.... So either a rear attack wasn't in much danger of being shot down, or rear gunners were spectacularly coordinated!
