Kyushu Shinden J7W3-redux-**added pics**
Posted by Texgunner on Saturday, January 8, 2011 11:01 AM

Hi everybody!  I'm a member from several years back who hasn't posted in quite a while.  I've made a New Year's resolution to return to scale-modeling after a hiatus of about 3 years.  During a recent Google search, I came across a reference to an old thread here.  About 7 years ago (I can't really believe it's been that long!) I converted Hasegawa's Shinden J7W1 to a turbojet-powered version.  The old thread is here:

/forums/p/25463/254744.aspx#254744

None of the pics are viewable on the old thread but in the ensuing years since then, I have placed some on Photobucket.  I thought I would re-post some of these in case other members might be interested in a similar project.  I do have some different pics of this plane but I can't access them at his time.  I will be able to soon however and I'll post some of those too when I can.

Very nice,Tex.  I'd love to see more pics.

What is that plane behind the Shinden in the second picture?

Thanks! I will post more as soon as I can.  The plane coming in behind the Shinden is a local crop duster.  Maybe a Japanese trainer in the context of the pic, lol.

That is nice. I really like that.  I'd love to see a better pic of the front to see the intakes.

Thank you, and thanks for the welcome Gamera!  I spent several hours yesterday working on my Mirage F1.  It felt great too.   I've really missed modeling and I'm glad I've started again.   Btw, the Mirage F1 is being built as a Confederate States Air Force plane; an anti-ship strike-fighter.  So another "what if?" project is on the way.Big Smile
