Its all good. I think a mixing would be great. I must confess, before I found the forum I had started armor. But before that, I had been building WWII aircraft my whole life (not saying much, I'm only 15). Big Smile [:D]

I would join a group build like that. The only problem is I already build both. That is, when I get anything at all done.

My son and I started gluing plastic as an excuse to get together once a week. We have had a great time and the fun has been greater because he does the steel plates and I do the aluminum and fabric.Mischief [:-,] It has been an excellent way for us to get reaquainted, I recommend itMy 2 cents [2c]

Sounds like the typical friendly rivalry to me! If you guys wanna do a 'common build' with the armor guys, how about a SA-2 vs F-105 or F-4. Just a thought.

If any of you could get shermanfreak to build one of those wingie things-- then I swear I'll try my hand at building one of those tracky thingies....but I'm not holding my breath Wink [;)]

That's a cool idea, Courtney! I'm willing to put together a tracked thingie (haven't done that in a long time)! How about it, then??? Any more of those paired ideas aside from tiger/tiger and panther/panther? How about B-25 Mitchell and M4 Sherman (both named after generals, right?). Big Smile [:D]

A crossover would be nice.

I have built a couple of 1/72 jets and choppers and some others wingy thingies in other scales. I think it would be fun.

Actually I built this A/C - related model some time last year:

Hehehe... You had me there for a while, Dwight! Big Smile [:D]

So what's the groupbuild/crossover theme going to be?

Oh my , so this is what it's like in here. I think a crossover build could be kind of fun and and offer a change. I have a German Messersmizzlesomethinanother that my boys got me for christmas sitting on the shelf. This could give me reason to build it.

Do they have a tank model in 1/48? What's with this weird tank scale anyway? Big Smile [:D]

Tanks commonly come in 1/35 or 1/72. 1/48 is quite rare but there are RC in this scale. If a unitized scale is necessary 1/72 could be the best although there are some choppers now in 1/35.

It's hard to pic sides. A Mk IV and a huey live together in harmony on my shelf, and a Corsair and a Sherman are coming together on my table. I like to think that they all live for the common good, my personal entertainment. How do I choose which side to back? How do I pic between big guns and wings of glory? Here's how: which forum helps me the most? I'm going with the painting and airbrushing forum, because they can tell me why I messed something up. Happy finishing to all, and to all a goodnight.

Well a Brewster buffalo and a buffalo amphibious craft, Hellcat (M18 and F6), Crusader and F8, fairey firefly, and sherman firefly, dehaviland comet and comet tank, a lightning or a thunderbolt and an opel blitz(blitz=lightning/thunderbolt)... that's a good start I think there is a float plane and a utility car that go by Otter.
The space group could do a challenger tank/shuttle build, or even here we could since the shuttle is carried on a jumbo jet.

I was never a big fan of armor but I have to admit that after I read the book, "Team Yankee" years ago I was very impressed with what the M1 Abrams was capable of with those nasty darts they fire. Wow! [:0]
