My favorite Luftwaffe and Allied aces:

Luftwaffe-E. Hartmann w/his ME-109's
Allied -Robert Johnson w/his P-47's

great planes, great pilots
a humble ham-fisted modeler in the midwest-

Hi there,

Sadly, Gunter Rall passed away recently. I am currently in the process of writing biographies of every Luftwaffe 'Ace' with, like you, the intention to build a model for each. However, there are unofficial reports that there may be as many as 2400 official Luftwaffe 'Aces'!!

Man, thats a lot of models!!! Shock [:O]

Hi Kingtiger332,

I think Gunter Rall passed away back in November. It has just been reported in a recent copy of FlyPast magazine.
