Thanks Bill. I guess I just fell out of love with aircraft for a while. It doesn't help that I've got an automotive repair background and love hotrodding in the 1:1 scale world. I really don't building factory stock stuff that much and use my creative skills to build that which I cannot afford in the real world. Lately though, I've had an itch that I don't think I can ignore for too much longer to build another WWII subject. I've still got one or two more automotive builds to go that I'm pretty much in the middle of.
My first completed kit in near 30 years was a 1/72 Hobby Boss Hawker Hurricane for this years Weekend Madness group build. It's not pretty but it was what I needed to get off the fence and out of the shadows and start building again. It was one of the easy assembly kits but the painting was what I feared the most. Like I said it ain't pretty but I learned a lot and got over the fear.
Finish your current projects, go outside, take a deep breath and ponder what aircraft is calling for your detailer's touch. I for one can't wait to see what you come up with but I know that it will be worth the wait. Maybe you should do an egg plane for some fun and less stress.
