Sorry to hear your health took a step back but it sounds like you're doing better my friend. The F-15 turned out great and I really like the weathering on it in particular.Looking forward to the next one!

Cnq has presented a pretty bird too! If anyone is interested in learning all you would need to know about F-15E's go to f-15e.info. You can see what I mean about real panel lines if you go to the operations menu, especially under the Enduring Freedom campaign.

I built the same kit last year and it's an excellent kit for the price. Too bad it does not come with any bombs which is very disapointed. Below is mine

It would take me a month to do that! Good work Toshi. I am especially impressed with your panel lines. Most of us would want to darken them so that they "pop"; but yours look like the panel lines of a real F-15. The darker/lifghter modulation on the skin is very effective too! Now for that P-51, another favorite of just about everyone.

To my fellow forum members,

I want to thank everyone for the support you've given me, it lifts my spirit and makes me all the more, to build my next model just that much better.

The beginning of this week was very hard for me.  Mrs. Toshi said I was incoherent, and not responding properly.  The best thing she did was to put me in bed.  By the following day, I had no recollection of what had occurred.  

When I saw my Strike Eagle, fond memories returned to me as well as my second family, FSM Forum!  I finally have both feet on the ground, and I would like to present to you all, the completed F-15.

Since many forum members have this kit in there stash, I can say there was no issues at all in fit and finish.  Can this kit utilize some PE?  Of course, any kit would benefit from that.  This OOB build was as straight forward and very simple to put together.  There is a challenge, the exhaust system.  It requires a little TLC.  It has very small parts to put together.  Almost PE like.  LOL!  There are 15 pcs. per exhaust for a total of 30 pcs. to assemble.  Check your build sheet and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Until my next build, which is a Tamiya 1:32 P-51D Mustang "Special Edition Silver Chrome Plated" kit, here is the finalization of the Eagle, thank you.

As promised, I finally would like to share with you all, the primer stage with putty and sanding if needed.  Hopefully it's something I can avoid.  LOL!  After this I will see to it that all the minor details are taken care of. 

 

 

 

 

So, can you tell us a little about the build to this point. It looks good primed. Did it fall together, or were there problems? What did you prime it with? Several of us have this bird which generally has good reviews. Does your experience live up to them. It seems you are building out of the box?

 

You know shipwreck, everything went into assembly with no issues nor concerns.  At this point in the build, there are no gaps and everything went together perfectly.  There was some very small amount of flash here and there, but nothing to be overly concerned about.  The engines exhaust area has some very small PE type assembling to do.  Patience and having the mind set in a Zen like state of mind is needed.  This area is the only intricate part of this build yet challenging, it was fun!

The interior details on this kit is minimal at best, it justifies aftermarket products like PE and resin items.  As for the primer, I'm utilizing a generic Krylon Dull Coat primer.  I think I bought it at Walmart for $2.50.  I still have a small yet decent amount of Tamiya Lacquer Gray Primer.  I'm saving that for my next build.  

In that of the things I mentioned above, this kit was well engineered.  Something that a father and son team could put together over a couple of weekends.  It holds it's cool factor!  A rating from 1-10 ten being the highest mark given, I have no problem rating this kit at a high 8.
