That came out SO nice! Excellent job. THe engine really sets it apart. Now you have me wanting one, haha.

That is fantastic work. Love that exposed engine.

Final hurdle done today. Started around 7am, football on, copious cups of tea.

All finished.

Fixed the small(ish) gap.

Onto the gunsight before I close up the cockpit. I have a Eduard Brassin cockpit set I am seaving for another bubbletop Spit (maybe invest in one of the new EduArt kits announced today!)

Luckily, this Brassin set comes with two choices of lovely resin gun-sight. Time to appropriate one I think..

Fitted the final wing panels which can only go on after the engine. One side has a gap...

That is real nice work. I have built many a spitfire but never a Eduards kit   And the camouflage looks very good

Yeah - nothing actually got lost, it just broke all the attachment points.

I had to carefully "unbuild" it back to the major components then glue everything back.

Ouch! Did you find all the parts when the engine broke? Looks good in the photo. 

Some lovely work there Ade, that engine is really nice.

Super job on the engine and tub, looking really good. Have fun with the rest of the build!

With the engine about 80% done, it was time for the moment of truth.

I chopped the front fuselage and under the wing...held my breath and dry-fitted.

HOORAH! a perfect fit!!
