Well Shuckey Darn, friend Toshi -

I extend my sympathy and very best wishes for FULL and quick recoveries, from the round of illness you and Mrs.Toshi have recently experienced. I'm so glad to read that your kids have stepped up, to care so well for you both. That says you instilled a strong sense of family and responsibility, while you were raising them. Good job.

Stay well, take the best care of yourselves. Remember, regular hours and quality sleep/rest go a long way toward recovery and overall wellness.

Gonna do a shark mouth 262????? I think it would look sharp.

Patrick

You're so kind and your words are heartfelt.  Thank you my friend, we are all doing fine now.  I have not planned a shark's mouth for this 262 build.  Maybe on the next Luftwaffe aircraft.  Thank you sir for visiting my threads, I so greatly appreciate it!

Here is my completed 262.  It took me a while to pull this together.  LOL!  I know it's still fast.  LOL!  I have included my other build of which is the Trumpeter 1/32 262 visible, this and the visible are some of my most favorite kits.  I hope you enjoy my completed 1/48 262.

Gorgeous Toshi. You nailed that mottling. I'm sorry to hear about your wife's illness and I'm glad she's better.

Thank you lawdog114.  I had googled and seen that paint scheme only once.  I thought how interesting it was.  Yes, Mrs. Toshi is much better. Thank you, you're very kind.  Also thank you for the visit.

Took you a while to put this one together? My Lord I sneezed and it was done!

Looks great Toshi. The mottling looks very good.

What a difference scale makes!  Great camo schemes on them.  What's next?

I just love that paint job, Toshi. Something about the way the off-white of the nose fades away towards the rear as the mottling takes over.

I'm really very impressed with your mottling job here.

You've made me want to try one of these and try to duplicate your mottling. It's just a neat looking little jet that looking at the box I'd never take a second look at. But built up........   hmmmmm.

Yes, the scales are amazing when I got a perspective on these two builds.  Thank you for the comment on the camoflauge schemes.  A Testors Classic 1/72 F4U-1 Corsair.  Nothing really crazy except the way I received it.  You can read about that on the WIP.  Thanks for your support and visit, I greatly appreciate it.

Thank you sir!  I will let Mrs. Toshi know.  What's funny is that the 1/72 are her favorite airplanes to see me build them.  She calls them Kaumana planes.  That's Hawaiian for strength/strong.  It's also the nick name of our Grandson.

Thank you so very much Greg, you're too kind.  I'm really the wrong person to talk about this due to my minimal experience but this is what was done.  The fade was actually done by spraying Testors COLORFX Natural Stain Enamel from a distance of one and a half to two feet at 30 PSI with a NEO by Iwata.  Then I get closer about a few inches to get the fade darker by letting up on the trigger to slow the spray speed down.

The mottling was done first by spraying dark green dots at 15 PSI then going over the dots with a worm type pattern in light gray to give it a small but light contrast.  There are much better pro FSM Forum members that have better information and techniques than what I've done, maybe they could chime in on this thread.  Anyone is free to do so, I could learn a ton!

It is a very neat looking jet, I must agree.  I too didn't take it seriously until I saw the Trumpeter 1/32 Visible 262 kit.  Then when I built it, it was so cool looking.  That's when I became a 262 fan!  Thank you so much for your support and interest in my builds, I so greatly appreciate it.  If you have any more questions in this regards and or anything else, I'll be more than happy to share my limited experience with you my friend!

Hey Toshi!

Great job on the Me 262!  You don't give yourself enough credit: that's a very nice job you did with the kit and you should be proud.  Hope that you and Mrs. Toshi are well on the way on the road to recovery!!

Thank you Tal Afar Dave, you're kind words are highly appreciated.  I am most humbled.  I feel that this build came out as a great teaching tool for me in AB control and I'm happy with the outcome.

I would still want to excel my AB skills exponentially but you know as well as I, that comes with practice and practice I shall continue.  I want to thank you for your belief in my skills as well as your support my friend.  Also thank you for visiting and replying to this WIP, it makes me very happy to reply back and have a conversation with you sir!

As for Mrs. Toshi and I, we are both doing much better and thank you for your concern and inquiries.

LOL!  I've never watched Dragon Ball Z.  My son was and still is a huge fanatic of Dragon Ball Z.  I remember some characters by the name of Gohan and Master Roshi!  LOL!  Thank you allan, you've brought back fond memories of my son and I.

I used to buy him all kinds of Dragon Ball Z toys for him.  At times I probably spoiled him silly but he was a really good boy until he found out what the opposite sex was about!  LOL!  That's ok, we all went through growing pains.  Thank you for the walk in the past and for visiting my threads.  This means very much to me as I so enjoy our conversations.  Supersaiyan!
