WOWEE! That's a good looking Blue you have on that!  ;)  Your camera picks it up a lot better than mine did. But I bet you've noticed the way the color changes in different lighting, eh? lol

Looks great, Toshi! :D:D:D:D

Thanks to your Hellcat build, I was most inspired to try and replicate the color you did.  Yes, it has changed color under different lighting situations!  Thank you my friend!

lol. No problem, Toshi! I picked up the 1/48 Monovell F4U-4 corsair just so I could use this color again lol. And it doesn't hurt to have a second, larger Corsair in my collection lol.

After the decals are on I'm very sure you're going to love this one, not just because its a Tamiya, but also because it's going to be the prettiest Corsair in your collection lol.  :D

Lookin' good Toshi! You inspired me to drag out my Corsair example which I wasn't going to show because the color is way too bright. I think if I was doing it again I'd build two versions, one folded and one down, they look cool both ways! I split the difference. They also have a nice cockpit with a lot of detail not to be seen. As I remember mine had a clear lower hatch for viewing the lower cockpit but you still couldn't see much.

Anyway good job so far! Wings up or down? LOL! Cockpit looks great. Cameras see much more than us humans or at least this one!

That's a neat kit with retractable landing gears and folding wings.  I've must have built at least two of them.  Thank you for the kind comments!

As you can see here, I did the final coat in high gloss.  I just wanted a really extra clean look with a museum quality.  I think I surpassed that.  LOL!  I have two other Tamiya 1/32 corsairs that are weathered, one "Baa Baa Blacksheep" Revell 1/32, one Academy 1/72, two Testor's  1/72, and a Revell 1/48 Corsair in Intermediate Blue, the first five has the Corsair tri-color paint scheme.

I decided to do this as M.Brindos used this very same color and we both came to the same conclusion in that this blue really enhances the Corsair.

Nice work, Toshi.  Keep it up!  Yes  I agree with the statements about Tamiya's 48th scale WW II aircraft being nice builds.  I've done a number of them (Corsair, Arrow, Beaufighter, Me-262) and the fit is amazing.

Thank's murph!  Tamiya really has good quality control over their products.  It's a pleasure to assemble their kits.  Thank you for the visit!

Thank's Hodakamax!  Ever since I used EZ-Line for the antennae, it's been great and fun to rig WWII aircraft.  I really had fun doing the rigging of the pontoons for the Arado on a previous build.  Thank's for the visit!

Very nicely done, Toshi -

See??? You couldn't actually quit this hobby. If you weren't able to begin a day with something to build or paint, I imgine you'd be climbing the walls. Enjoying the ability to stand back and just take in a creation like your Corsair, must be really satisfying. So many more of them still in their boxes, waiting for Toshi to free them.

Thanks for the post and photos.
