This turned out great.  I like the inclusion of a pilot.  I still don't have the courage to paint a figure.  Beautiful build.  Smile

Cheers, Mark

Calling it done , All done in Alclad 2 The Original Paint , changed the silver ammo panels to ALC102 DurAluminium as the silver was too much :)

Great job masking, and neat look on the different NM on the ammo access doors (though I'll agree toning it down a little was a good idea).

thanks mate will try to get photo`s  this evening alot better now its ton down :)

Looking real good Mate. I've been wanting to try that Alclad Mil spec paint.

A tip form your Uncle Jay;  if the paper clamps ping off when their too close to the wing edge, try slipping a piece of clear tubing over the  holding surface of the clamp. Then you can clamp right on the edge with out them slipping off. I got some from a fish store , cut to length and simply slit each piece along the center and slip over the edge of the clamp.

thanks and cheers for the tip i have some spare tube from my fish tank air line will try that :)

Nice work Fred, she is coming along splendidly, well done. I didn't know that Alclad made a coloured range of paint, I always thought they just did metal effects and miscellaneous candy's and the like.

Any way, great work.

thanks mate , they brought out the mil-spec range not long ago mate and the other week added 4 new colours to the range think theres like 42 colours at the moment i can go in my cave and count them if you want i have them all lol Stick out tongue

It's all good, I prefer Mr. Paint currently but thank you for the offer.

OOOH-RAH ! ! Ridleusmc .
Yessir Marine .   I have been using these clamps and the little and medium plastic ones for years .You get a good leading - trailing edge without gaps that way . It's also great for ships with external keels .

yes mate best thing i brought for clamping had no problems with them :)

Yes, I'm digging the interior.  I also like the paper-holder "clamps" that you use to hold the wings together.  I use bar clamps and small c-clamps, but I think your method may be a little more space efficient.

thank you , yes there bulldog clips from our £1 shop you most likely call them dollar store there great and like you said takes up less space , i also use cloths pegs there handy too :)
