This looks like a very exciting build!  I’m very happy for you in that your test fit went flawlessly.  Good luck in your endevours.  I’ll be following along closely.

Ohhh cool! I've been working forever on the 1/32nd Tamiya late Zero. I've heard a bunch of good stuff about this kit.

Nice kit!! Now, without removing the tape, throw it back in the box, add some glue and paint, shake it up, and see if it comes out like we've always heard!!

Oh, and throw it in the oven, too - guess you would have to, being a "shake-n-bake" kit!

All the paints I will use are acrylic, Tamiya or Gunze.

For interiors the Hasegawa indicates the C-126 unmatched for acrylic colors. I'll use Tamiya's XF-71. I already got a bottle given by a modeling friend so today I'm going to paint the interiors.

For the fuselage and wings I will follow the instructions and use the H-36.
To the bottom I'm at a crossroads and I do not know what I'm going to do. Hasegawa indicates the color C-128 which does not match acrylic. Tamiya indicates the AS-2 that also does not correspond to acrylic color.

I have searched the net and noticed that there are many modelers using the XF-76 IJN Gray Green.

The seller of the store where I buy the paints is trying to get me the corresponding color of Gunze. I have to wait for the paints to arrive.

I started painting the model.

While waiting for the arrival of some paints I went ahead some parts.
Wings and auxiliary tank already glued.

I painted the wheels.

I applied some weathering on the engine cover, landing gear and sights. I forced a little because with the application of clear almost everything fades.

I like the subtle weathering I'll have to file that one away.  Is it just me or who said you can't multiply zeros.  I've built a bunch and I have to slap my hand away everytime I go to a model shop.

Thank you BrandonK and MrStecks. The quality of the kit helps a lot. It's a great kit.

Fused fuselage lines were sanded to remove the glue marks and glued the rear stabilizers.

The propeller with weathering. Now another layer of gloss clear, a wash and then mate clear.

This has been standing in the paintings because I had a problem with the airbrush. Nozzle, air cap or needle ???
To be sure, I bought the complete set.

In the meantime I glued the model. Missing the machine gun in the cockpit because following the Hasegawa scheme does not enter. I did an experiment and got glue at the end. It even avoids complications in painting.

Beautiful, especially the pit. Interesting seat. Is that the parachute on the back? I’ve never seen that set up. Reference XF-76, it’s my understanding that is Tamiya’s attempt at “Ame-hiro”, the early grey green/caramel like color used by the IJN. The zeros at Pearl were done in this color. Keep up the good work.

I suppose so. I tried to get pictures but I could not. In the case of the A6M5 also of the Hasegawa 1/32 «Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Type 52 Super Ace» New Tool, is already the traditional one, with holes in the back of the chair and without the parachute.

I finished the engine cowling

and the propeller.

And after everything glued and ready I started painting the model.

I started the process of weathering.

I already have the attack edge of the wings painted yellow. Follow the mask and paint the top green.
