1/35 Hobby Boss Fieseler Storch Regia Aeronautica complete

Oh boy that looks superb!  I’m getting anxious to start mine now!

Just a few more things to do now. I want to add some dusting and need to attach the prop and cockpit door. The wings are not glued and will allow me to transport it when needed. The cowling will stay unattached.

Thanks guys. The filtering cuts the starkness and blends everything together to my eye. I added another sini gloss topcoat and will add some chipping the the cowlings, fuel tank covers and landing gear. Then I'll add some streaking and such.

I'm getting close.

Oh wow!  Great camo application!

I applied the decals and decided to do some dot filtering. I needed to tone down the white and add a dusty look overall. I still need to do the undersides then add a sealer before continuing with the weathering.

I completed the camo and now am ready for the decals.

Don’t know how I missed this one. Exceptional work as usual Steve. Wil be checking in to see your progress.

This scale  wil make a great dio along with my old Dragon DAK figures so I may get one.

Very impressive. I guess being 1/35 scale it is intended to go with suitable vehicle/armour models

The brake lines and a few touch ups done. The fuse stripe and yellow under wingtips painted. Now comes the camo. I test fit the wings and it looks like I'm going to need to glue them down. Not a horrable thing but it will make it more difficult to relocate.

The canopy is done and I painted the sand yellow, installed the elevators and landing gear. I started installing the brake lines and added a little more filler on the firewall. A little more work and touch up and I'll be ready for camo. The wings install very easily so I'll stick them on for the camo. I'm hoping the wings will look good enough that they can be removed for transport rather than gluing them on for good.

Looks great so far. How is the overall fit and finish? 

 

The overall fit is fantastic, the canopy is the only thing that needed a little work so far, and all I have left is installing the gear. It may have been fine if I assembled the entire canopy prior to gluing just the main section down first. I didn't think it would have made a diffrence. It may not have but you'll have to keep an eye on that when you build yours. It was an easy fix.

Thank you Toshi, I am doing well, much better than several months ago. I have an odd feeling in my chest because most of the area is still, and will probably be, forever numb, just to a less of a degree over time. My wife and family are doing well and are looking forward to me returning for good as am I.

There’s so much details on this kit, your mastery and skill are next to none.  I’ve been watching and learning from you.  It’s just incredible!  By the way, how are you feeling and how is your family coping with the past operation?  Thank you in advance.

I installed the large canopy. The lower sections didn't fit well so I needed to trim them. I added some canopy glue as filler and sanded the edges down. Once these are done I'll start on the landing gear.

Now that I returned from Boise and got back to the bench, I continued with the belts. I  installed them and added a wash.

I have not used RB belts but used HGW belts before. Quite the challenge those, but they look great once assembled.

I installed the slats, ailerons and flaps. They're almost as tricky as assembling a biplane.

I guess pictures would be nice. 

I applied the sand color. I'm waiting for the belts to come in before I attach the canopy and complete the fuse, then I'll add the green and red camo.

I am leaving for Boise on the 15th for 2 weeks. If I get the belts in before then I'll put them together and install them. I'll be back on Aug 1st and get back to this.

I ordered two sets of RB Productions seat belts to dress up the interior. I'll start on the base sand color tomorrow.
