To my fellow forum members,

Thank you so very much in supporting our Corsair build.  Between models, chocolate candy Ezra loves Kit Kat, juice and milk.  He’s a very smart boy.  He tries to mimick everything I do.  Oh, he’s also potty training, and not doing too bad at all, matter of fact, Mrs. Toshi and I, gives him stickers everytime he goes potty.

This keeps him more than busy.  Of which I think works great in the winter.  Then in spring and summer, we end up swimming at the pool and driving his Paw Patrol around the complex.

Your friend, Toshi and Ezra!

To my fellow forum members,

I have fixed the landing gear that Ezra destroyed.  Lol!  I used the rockets that come with the kit and stretch the rockets.  It worked out very well.

We’re in the process of closing up this build.  Ezra will be going to swim school and going home, so we will have to wait until he returns on Sunday.

As you can see, the two Corsairs went in a completely different aspect.  The Corsair Ezra AB is just a simple light blue with standard Marines marking.

Possibly based on one of the tropical islands, Esperito Santos.  Trying daily pushing the Japanese further toward Japan.

The other Corsair depicts F4U-1D VF-84 Aircraft Carrier USS Bunker Hill (CV-17) Feb.. 1945

To my fellow forum members,

It took a good two months in completing both Corsairs.  I really enjoyed building both F4U’s especially with Ezra.  The Corsair Ezra built is painted with Vellojo M-485 Blue Gray 71.109 Faded P.R.U. Blue.  It’s a color he chose and with my help, AB and carefully built his Corsair. I let him use my Iwata NEO.  About a two weeks ago, while we were finishing up his build, he decided to play with his Corsair of which I felt was fine.  Then he brought back without damage (Wow) then slammed the model on the bench of which both main Landing gears broke.

What can you do except laugh.  We both laughed and started the process of looking for the landing gear.  After a while, I gave up.  Ezra was determined in finding his landing gears.  Well guess what, he found one and yelled ”Papa Papa” I found it.  We both went back into the den to look for the other gear to no avail.  I rigged the landing gear, and did the antenna with EZ Line.  Since I won’t see him till Sunday, I decided to finish up this build.

As for my Corsair, I purchased a Vallejo US Navy & USMC Colors 1940-1945 Art 71157 kit from Hobby Lobby.  I really enjoy painting with Vallejo Model Air.  I used 71.295 USN Sea Blue and had a very difficult time with the decals.  Even spraying with Testors Decal Bonder, some issues occurred but I was able to overcome the issues.  The third Corsair that you see was built about a year ago.  I did that Corsair in “Pappy Boyingtons” Lulubelle.

I want to thank Tim Pressnell for this gift given to me and Ezra, but guess what.  We still have a Sabre from him to build.  That will be our next WIP.

Well, Toshi and Ezra, this is great stuff! It makes me happy to see what the two of you have accomplished. Well done, both of you.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

Thank you so very much fotofrank!  Having time with Ezra is so precious.  Building a kit with him is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
