I have a version of the Eduard kit and have read that if the wing spar and other fuse parts are not fitted exactly, the engine will not line up right.  Did you have any issues around the engine?  Did you put all the engine and wing cannon parts in per the instructions and get a good fit?

Thanks Ken.  I did have trouble with an older Eduard Fw190 kit (the A9) with all the things you mention.  The whole nose section ended up slightly tilted upward at the front. 
However, this new kit (the A4) was engineered differently, and everything went together beautifully.  This kit only has the front face of the engine, so maybe it would have been different if I tried to put in a complete after-market engine.  The fit everywhere was very good.

I like the whole package but the part I think is really exceptional is the exhaust staining on the white background! I gotta believe it would be easy to overdo that and yours looks realistic.

My only question is about the Yellow bit's. They seem to be to "Shiny". ( It may just be an optical illusion on my part)  The White may be making the Yellow stand out a bit.

Thanks Mongoose.  I airbrushed flat black just in the area directly behind the stacks, then applied black pastel chalk dust to do the main streaking.  I use a short, stiff brush for this, but I build it up very slowly to keep from overdoing it.  I use the same brushed-chalk technique to do the gun exhaust streaking on the wings.

Thanks Timmy.  Yeah, I applied some weathering to the yellow panels and fuselage stripe, but perhaps not enough.  They do stand out a little as looking "fresher" than the rest of the plane.

Great job with the Butcher Bird, I have a 190 in my stash that I want to get built as well.

Thanks 7474.  It's funny, I never cared much for the look of the 190 until just recently.  After building two of them I've really come to appreciate the beautiful clean lines of the design. 

Outstanding Mark! =] Very well done. Quite an accomplished looking winter camo. Glad I caught it. I don't get to drop in here as often as I'd like.

Two thumbs.

One thing about the weighted wheels...I do like a lot of others and sand the bottoms slightly. It doesn't quite produce the bulge in width like you'd see, but at 1:48...you're not seeing it that much anyhow. Tires on a plane like a 190 are unfamiliar to me, but I don't imagine a tire like that bowed much. Less is probably more here for future reference.

Thanks bvallot.  This A4 is now sitting next to the A9 I did last year, on my display table.  One has weighted wheels and one doesn't, and it's impossible to see the difference unless you really get close up.

But I may try the sanding idea on the next set of unweighted wheels I come across.

Thanks Greg.  This is my second Eduard 190.  The first was an A9 last year, which was an older tool, and was a difficult build to put it lightly.  This newly-tooled (2017) A4 went together beautifully.  I highly recommend this kit.

That's a super looking winter camouflage on your 190...I love Luftwaffe aircraft, but I;m still yet to attempt a winter camo scheme. Nice one!
