John I gave flat what primer then two light coats of lemon yellow so far it’s a semi gloss I’m going to give it one more light coat of yellow to even out the color and will give gloss clear. I been kicking around that thought about flat yellow and I’m getting same results lol
Nick.

What it looks like is a continental r-670 according to google, but the rigging part is approaching fast thinking about using piano wire
Looking good so far, I used a high e guitar string (nickel), for the rigging on mine from a few years ago and it scales pretty well for the stearman.
Jrock83 thank you I'm using .015'' music wire in nickel. I did manage 4 coats of lemon yellow on controll and wing surfaces test fit motor and top wing. I did the rigging on the center struts.
Happy fathers day to all you dads past, future and present ..
the decals are on and Im off. Have a great day.
This is turning out to be a very colorful and good looking build Nick. Will be looking in on this one.

Thank you ToJo appropriate your comments with the shiny paint ,my 59 Chevy is calling me.. it’s been on the back burner for awhile
Whoa what a beauty. Finish looks fantastic. Yellow give me fits.
Thanks,
John
Thanks John yeah yellow is a bit of a pain the wings have 4 thin coats of tamiya lemon yellow drives my eyes crazy...
well the top wing is in place and started the rigging.
Looks like you're doing a swell job on that yellow Nick. That's a real tough color to get good coverage with.
Thanks Joe. I really like yellow but its very tempermental thats why I dont have any yellow cars lately but finished with the rigging on some washes.
Sure is looking good. Agreed on your good work on the yellow, and whilst decals always add to aircraft models, they really POP on this little biplane, don't they?
Thank you Greg. Almost done small small things to do did a test pic with the tarmac I got from squadron...
That last shot.... wow!
