I'll follow along when I can .. I have the WNW Albatros D.V "Manfred von Richthofen" in my stash and will refer back to your build when I get around to it.

I got as much plumbing in place as needed to close up the Fuse halves, I'll add the coolant hoses later so they wo'nt get bumped and knocked off.

GMorrison I've been eye balling that Hansa as well ,but going to do the Gotha next

Real G, its hard to see in the pics but I used a fine razor saw blade to scribe in the spring detail. I've seen the springs being 'wound' with wire on the net its impressive for sure. 

Are you going to replace the valve lifter springs?  It’s tricky work, but a friend showed me his modded engine and now I cannot unsee it.

WNW kits have a certain intimidating aura, not from the kits themselves, but from all the gorgeous work their builders put into into them!  It’s like I’m not good enough to soil a WNW kit with my dirty hands!

If I ver could afford the WnW Hansa Brandenburg kit, I'd thank my stars.

They kit such wonderful stuff.

The quality and level of detail in these WNW kits is so high that I can not bring myself to build my SE5....I know that it is the crown jewel in my collection and will most likely never be surpassed ;-)

Thanks for taking the time to post up Real G, agree on both counts!

Engines are next and they are really kits by themselves. Adding some pe and will scratch in some of the plumbing later. Weathering will be next before I set them in the cradles.

Yeah, those ejector pin marks are really a pain aren’t they?  My kit is still in the box with dozens of grey circles of filler.

But the D.V is the prettiest WW I scout, IMHO.

I went back and touched up ejector pin marks and added more wood grain detail. IP guage decals went down nicely and canopy glue applied in layers added the' lenses ' .Spares bin donated some pe fuel caps , then the sub assemblies went in .

That is a gorgeous kit, would not mind having one . Subscribed to the build
