Not much unique going on here yet...not even sure ther will be as I think this will be OOB. Just focus on doing the best assembly and paint job that I can.
Working on the basics to clean up the seams. I can't believe the Stealth Bomber would have big gaps in front of the intakes lol
Also working on those trailing edges. May try for a better pic tonight. It is turning out pretty clean. I did end up with just a smidge of putty on 1 side because I went too far and the edge started to pull back from loss of material.
In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!
Now THAT is the coolest thing ever!
I was not aware of that model, which reminds us of the various Steath Fighter kits that came out before the F-117 was public.
Pulling up my chair.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
This is going to be my rendition of my Daughters favorite plane from the Museum of the United States Air Force up in Dayton Ohio. Theirs is one of the test mules for wing loading if I remember right. Revell‘s was a version they thought it most likely would be once it was revealed. They did the modelprior to public showing of the B-2. It’s got a 1997 raised copyright on the outside of the wing and the raised panel lines of that era.
The cockpit is really small and sits way back so it’ll be hard to see no matter what. I added an instrument panel via paint with a few dots using a toothpick for buttons. The other thing I’m doing is scribing all the panel lines. Not adding any new ones, just recreating what’s there for this one. The other interes thing is the color. It’s molded in a king dark gloss grey with some sparkles to it. I’ve primered the right side here with Citadel Chaos Black which is kind of a semi gloss black. Working on thinning the wing trailing edges. Then fit-up looks pretty good. Probably a night of bondo in my future this week, I’m not fooling myself!
