I'm working on both the 102 and the 106 and they are great looking detailed kits right out of the box. Unfortunalely I somehow lost the the 102's air brake part but jeaton01 says he has a spare one and will mail it to me so I'm waiting on that now.

I used to live outside Randolph AFB. My nephew lives in Austin and I get your comment. Huston got "gentrified" so to speak. I'm being kind.

One time I was taking pictures at Little rock down near the Base Ops/ National Guard area as some 101s wer launching. Sitting on the transit ramp was a Marine F-4 with the crew sitting on its back. I coiuld see that they were sort of making fun of the old 101s as they went by, probably because they figured even though they were just passing through, they had the best performing aircraft on the base. As they watched, a C-130 went down the taxi way with only two engines running, they hardly paid any attention to it. At the end of the runway the Herk kicked in its other two engines and started its roll. As it passed the F-4 the Herk went into a steep climb and the two Marines just watched kept leaning back more and more as it climbed away. Who's superior in takeoff?
The 154th TRS at Little Rock had a amazing collection of photo on their walls. One was a shot taken of a low approach at a Geodesic dome sitting on the side of a mountain somewhere in Arkansas as well as a beautiful shot of two recces going straight up, belly to belly, or doing it horizontal.
THey had a reputation of finding small towns and making high speed, low passes, and going supersonic. By the time anyone couild spot them they were just a dot in teh distance. They also had a tendency to fly low over the Arkansas River close to guys fishing in small boats. They claim to have actually swamped a few.

rangerj That is a great looking Voodoo. I did 4 of the Canadian Voodoos one of which is in the monogram builds section. That kit is an oldie but a goodie and it wont break the bank. There is a real 101B Voodoo on display at Willow Run Airport in Michigan and If my memory serves me correctly it as an ANG or Reserve bird. I got to see one of those take off one time and it is impressive. I love the Century Series birds and I remember them when they were new and hearing the sound barrier being broken was the cats behind!!! Keep up the great work.

jeaton01 Sharp looking model, Stephen, the burner can treatment looks really good. I put both drop tanks on mine also, but I have read that the range was the same with one drop tank or two as the additional drag used up the advantage of the extra fuel.

Don Stauffer I had been looking for that kit for a long time. I was a long time MDC empolyee, and the Voodoo was my favorite MAC fighter. I picked up a kit at Nordicon last September. Your build is an inspiration- can't wait to get started.
