I'll go one further since there are so many choices: For the Allies a P-47D skimming over France straffing trains etc. and for the Axis the FW190D.

For me, it would have to be the B-25H. Ya gotta love that 75MM cannon in the nose!

Not sure what happened to my original reply so will try again. I would like to fly a CAC Boomerang of the RAAF in PNG. Flying these little fighter/ground attack aeroplanes over and through the Owen Stanley Range required a skill that not many pilots had. Then you had to fight the enemy! Then fly back over the mountains, usualy in bad weather. A Cumulus Granitus or stuffed cloud could ruin your day.
