Thanks for the comments guys I appreciate them.   And just for info... the cockpit is all OOB.  I can't wait to see the pit on chukw's bird.Tongue [:P]

Marc,

Yes, the Helldiver is one of my favorites.  I got a chance to see one at a local airshow a couple years ago.  I was told that it was the last one flying (not sure if that's true - but there sure aren't many of them left).  It's such a big hulking thing - very impressive.  After that - I had to wait for the Academy kit to come out in order to model one.

Outstanding build, Marc, and well worth the wait!  The OOB cockpit looks super.  All these Helldivers make me want to start mine.

Thanks Mark and like Nike.... Just Do IT!Wink [;)]

Chris, that's the 1/72 scale out last year right?  How is the kit?  I wouldn't mind doing another and it's so  big a 1/72 should be a decent size.

Sum Btch 2nd Class.

The Dauntless was a better plane by far. The only reason this plane made it to the fleet at all was a political one.

You made this one look great, if there ever was a good looking SB2C.Laugh [(-D]Wink [;)]

Well, Marc- you certainly deserve all of this praise.  That's a friggin' beeooty!!  Propeller [8-] You've given me the light at the end of what will surely be a long, long tunnel.  I'll be getting a Vector engine and the Falcon canopy as well.   Congrats on such a beautiful beast.... Party [party]

Ibuild, chukw.... thanks very much.

Chukw, as I said before it was wulf and you that gave me the kick in rear to get it done. Looking forward to that super detailed beast.  BTW, do youhave a good pic of the brake line on the LG? the pic on Cybermodeler is only a partial view so I kind of guessed atthe rest.  Just curious howe close I got... or didb't get as the case may be.
