I'd have to agree, this is a nice thread and there a a lot of well made models on display.  The group builds have helped me increase my number of completed builds, I still have three more models I should finish by the end of the year if I stay focussed.  Always in doubt!  A C-46, a Bobcat, and a Siemens Schuckert SS III.

Airfix 1/72 Westland Whirlwind

Airfix 1/72 TSR.2

Pavla 1/72 Yakovlev UT-1

AMT 1/48 Staggerwing

Matchbox and Tamiya 1/48 Skyraider

Hasegawa 1/72 P-40N

Monogram 1/48 P-40B

ICM 1/48 Mk XVI Spitfire

Revell/Paragon 1/32 Spitfire Prototype 5054

MPM 1/48 P-63

Planet Models 1/48 Ju-388K

Italeri 1/72 P-51A.  The one I should have stepped on.

Tamiya Brewster Buffalo, 1/48

ProModeler 1/48 P-47N

You know it. I didn't realize how many I'd built until I looked at my pics. I didn't plan to build that many, but hey- no problems! You can't have too many Spitfires.

Now, I'll head home. Got a Mk. I to finish! Big Smile [:D]

Tugcap I will be looking for advice when I get around to doing my Grumman Goose.  Looks like you could dive off the wing.

Wow all the builds look so great! It was an off year for me. I have a couple of builds started but health issues kept me from finishing them. I am getting better by the week and I will be posting soon. I would like to thank everyone for their great pics. It's these pics that can keep guys like me going even when they can't! Like I said though I am returning. A few things though:

Marc... could you send me the plans to your Kennedy Half Dollar?

One of many I started.  The only one I've completed, to date.

My year was busy as well...not so much modeling but I did manage to get this done:

and last but certainly not least, my almost new work room which I absolutly love.

I'm going to try to finish at least 18 next year before my stash gets a chance to outlive me! Happy holidays to all and may we all have a great new year.

Best thread of the year!

I have it bookmarked to that I can keep coming back to enjoy
everyone's work.  It's like a stroll through an art gallery.

The shear number of kits that you guys can build in a year amazes
me.  If I built that many that fast, they would all look like a ten year
old did them.  Maybe I'll get faster with time :)

Here are my builds for 2007:

F-16AFTI (F-16 GB)

B-47E (Strategic Air Command GB)

Mig-31b (In My Stash GB)

Do228-101 arctic configuration.  (Civil Aviation GB)
99% completed.

  1/32 Revell ASK-21
  1/48 Ardpol SZD-51 Junior
  1/48 Czech Models Grumman Goose

Oh she has a good sense of humor. I even sent her a PM with the link, so she could get a chuckle. Plus you know if I dont bring it to her attention then it seems like we are laughing behind her back which is not the intended act. It seems she hasnt made it to the computer yet this morning though, because we havent heard a thing from her.

22 finished planes in 52 weeks is slightly over 2 weeks per plane.  That is an astonishing rate of completion, especially when they are all of such high quality.  Congratulations on a job well done.

Well, not a huge year for me. I had one join the shelf of shame waiting for me to figure out what to do with it.

The one I can't get a pic of is a 1/350 Fletcher class destroyer I built. It's on loan to a temoporary display and I have a couple things left to finish on it. But, the rest are all 1/48 in no paticular order.

Take this plastic and model it!

Yes, great idea Marc!  I am really enjoying sitting back tonight and looking at all of these again.  I remember seeing almost all of them when they were finished, and it really is great to see them again.  It's also quite exciting to see what next year will hold for all of us. Thumbs Up [tup]
