Fill out a maintenance chit and report it to the crew chief.

Nothing leaked onto the model.

I havent had it exorcised, but I'm leaving that option open.

no joke.

There is nothing inside the model, not even paint.

...and there's no pilot. Yeah, that's right. I built a flying, gear up model of an F-14 with no pilot. I wasn't too big on details back then.

Did you use some modeling clay or something as counterweight on the nose? If so please check it out if it has melted.

Or come to think of it. A pilot sitting on the cockpit for 3 years without somewhere to go to "when it is time to go" can be a suspect. LOL.

I have heard of real aircraft leaking, but never a model. This is the day before Halloween and not April Fools Day, isn't it? Confused [%-)]

is there an attack above your room???? if there is, check it...perhaps something spilled up there, leaked threw the floor, down the wires to your plane, and collected in the lowest spot???

just a thought....

This beats anything I've ever seen... I have a 1/48 Monogram F-14 hanging from the ceiling above my desk and a while back I noticed drops of "stuff" on the desk under where the model was hanging. After a long search I noticed that the bottom of the model, near the exaust was leaking an oily liquid. I wiped it off but the next day there was more. It has no smell and is about the consistency of linseed oil. I only painted that model with Testors spraypaint, nothing else. What's really odd is that it was built at least 6 years ago. If anything was going to have a reaction, it should have happened long ago. There is no way anything could have gotten on or into the model in at least 3 years. The stuff seem to be coming from inside and had no adverse effects on the paint. I estimate that enough of this stuff dripped out to fill the lid of one of those small Testor paint jars.
