Stuka JU87-B WIP

Hey everyone,

Thanks to everyone who helped point me in the right directions for a great camera to photograph my builds...I opted for the new Sony Cybershot W120.  It's taken some great photos so I took a couple of my Stuka.  Maybe the camera works too good...shows my flaws too well.

Anyway, this is all a first.  My first model after a 5 year absence, my first picture of a model using a camera for the first time.  As always, your pointers are always welcome.

Mark,

The interior looks quite intricate.  Nice job on the detailing.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]

Looks the biz. Have you got an aftermarket pit in there? I built a Hasa Stuka and it really lacked interior details. Had to add an aries cockpit to get it looking decent.

This was a 1/48th scale JU87-B2 Stuka Hasagawa Kit I've had in my closet since my daughter was born.  It's been calling my name for the last 5 years.  I finally answered!  I also added the Verlinden cockpit details which really turned out great.  Wasn't really happy with how the seat belts came out but with a new set of Model Master paints, it turned out OK.  Surprised how I was able to pick right back up with the weathering.  Like riding a bike !

Mark - that pit looks great! I'm working on the same kit right now, and the Has pit certainly needs some help. Managed to salvage some pieces from a True Details set that was made for an Airfix kit, it's better but not nearly as detailed as yours. Wink [;)]

Did you have any problems lining up the cockpit side walls with the top of the fuselage?

The cockpit really looks great.  Keep us poted with progress.  Looks like it will be a beauty.

Dupes you are building this too?  What happened to you and me?  did our molecules get mixed up when we beamed up from the planet surface?

Haahahahhaha....Wingy, first of all, that's REALLY FUNNY. Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]

And yes, I'm building this puppy for Winter Warriors (it's my own GB, I gotta get both badges, right?). I'm actually shooting for a double major in Armor and A/C...I just end up spending more time over in the other part of the forum for some reason.

If you look at my stash excel spreadsheet, it would tell you that I am currently stocked with 40.7% a/c...not quite evened out yet, but I'm doing what I can! Wink [;)]
