I have heard of the baking soda and paint, but was not brave enough to try it yet. Yours turned out very well! I'm inspired to give it a shot on the next armor kit I do! Looks great!

Neat work Nomad! I've seen figures posed like they're jumping out the way you did but haven't had the guts to try it here. Very eye-catching job there!

It is not that hard to do. just mix the baking soda and paint how you want it and go to town. Looking foward to seeing what you do with it.

I think the figure is supposed to be inside the vehicle starting to jump out but it did not fit right so this is the way I placed him. I guess I need to put it back on the dio and snap a photo and post that.
I would like to enter in my StuG III
On my Work Bench: Tamiya Ford GT 1/24

Bruce, no worries, look forward to seeing your build and have you on the roster.
Dan, likewise welcome aboard.
Nomad, got you added. Nice job on the markings. That certainly brings back memories, I built that kit many years ago. Nice job.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3

Yep, feel free to add it to your sig. Welcome to the fun world of GB's.
AWESOME!!!!!
Thanks Bish and by the way I will be ready with a new model for the next one.
No worries Nomad. There's always some good GB's going on here. Mostly they are aircraft related, but there's usually a couple of armoured ones going on at any one time. I am not sure what your range of models is, but there the Allied Armour in the west GB as well as a N African campaign and a Tank Destroyer GB on going at the moment as well as the orphaned armour GB starting soon. And you can always enter more than one build for a GB if you feel upto it.
BishNo worries Nomad... And you can always enter more than one build for a GB if you feel upto it.

waynecBish No worries Nomad... And you can always enter more than one build for a GB if you feel upto it. Not that any of us are stupid enough to be in more than 1 or 2 group builds at the same time. /S

Well, no, of course. That would be just mad. Almost as silly as hosting more than 1 GB at a time.
Right now just one at a time for me. I need time to get a new mode;
l too. lol
No problem Nomad, some of us are just masochist's
What Happened???? I posted photos of the dio that the 251 was going to be on and now they are gone. Oh well here they are.
This dio is going to be called "Defense of the Hedgerows Normandy 1944" I hope I came close to what it needs to be.
Here is the dio almost done. Please tell me what I need to do to make it better.
Where did everyone go??
Don't worry Nomad, its still early days and there are a lot of GB's on going. I know are few of the guys are finishing off builds for the Longest day GB. And I think most people build for the GB that finishes' next of those they are committed to, that's how I do it. I am sure we will see some activity soon. I probably won't get to my build until early next year.
But I do need to try and remember to keep this one active and not let it slip down the pages, so thanks for bumping it up.
No problem.

So a couple weeks ago, I started the build on my 234/3. I managed to get the chassis done before work called and I had to go in two weekends in a row Here's two pics:
